  • How to stretch the IT Band and sides of the hips with the standing cross over stretch.
    In this video Dr. Jordan Fairley shows how to help with IT Band Pain, Hip Pain, Gluteus Medius tightness and Oblique tightness without hurting your low back.
    Start by crossing the affected leg behind the non-affected leg, breathe into your body and hold that increased space...
    start to lean your body to the opposite side reaching your affected side arm up over head...
    while you do this make sure to put weight into the affected leg heel and push the affected leg hip out away from the arm stretch.
    This will help to increase space in the side of the hips, release tension in the glute med and TFL and lengthen the body.

    Hi Doc. As well as knee pain I sometimes get foot pain, top and bottom. Do you have foam rolling for these, bearing in mind the top is quite bony?! Thanks
