    Love how the water even looks salty/sandy

    I think this channel would be far more valuable if it presented us with some tutorials on how to use this addon. These animations are incredible, but they are starting to feel like carrots being dangled in front of our faces because there's never any explanation on how to achieve these results.

      We still have tutorials here about settings. More are in production. We have also an other tutorial channel „BlenderPhysics“.

      @@drinnerd8532 You are welcome! But, of course we will fill our primary channel (here) with more detailed tutorials.

    This looks absolutely amazing. I just have a question, what was the resolution.

    I agree with Drinner D you guys would definitely get more value out of this channel if you provide tutorials of the videos you make. I'm just saying you guys are like a diamond in the ruff you just need to be uncovered.

    Looks awsome. Your lighting is damn near real. Kinda scared to ask what you set your resolution to for your flip fluids and how long the baking process took lol

    Hello, please tell me why the water in some places seems black as pitch?

    • @ryanguy4536

      Hi, the transmission samples were lowered in this render to save on render time, which can make some areas dark. This animation was rendered in 2018 in Blender 2.79, and rendering took a lot longer in that version!

      @@ryanguy4536 Can you please tell me, is it possible with this addon to create large water effects, like waterfalls, as they do in Houdini? Like here for example - th-cam.com/video/3VC_12RoM9s/w-d-xo.html

    • @faradaysinfinity
      @faradaysinfinity 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@ryanguy4536 correct. transmission sample in light path is majorly important for render speed

      @@dmitrysharov9139 That type of effect at that scale looks like it would be out of the range of what Blender and our simulator can handle, such as amount of data that can be generated and loaded. Houdini would be the best choice for a large waterfall like that.

    very cool animation, but how to do it?

    • @ryanguy4536
      @ryanguy4536 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      A rigid body simulation of a cube is run for the tumbling box animation. The box is then set as a container that holds liquid using the 'Obstacle Inverse Option'. At the end, the box obstacle is disabled to let the liquid flow out into a larger simulation area. The basics of these concepts are in the first two episodes of our beginners series on this channel. A similar example scene is also included in the FLIP Fluids addon downloads.
