    Rhubarb Strawberry Crumble Pie
(I often don’t measure but I tried to come up with measurements for our recipe for you:)
2 quarts of a mix of strawberries and rhubarb
    1/2 cup of sugar
1/2 cup flour (we used a gluten free blend we make)
Mix the above and pour into greased skillet or pan.
4 cups flour (we used gf)
1 cup sugar (we use organic sugar)
    1 tsp sea salt
    Mix flour mixture then add:
    1.5 cups cubed butter
Work butter into flour mixture until you get pea sized mixture. Sprinkle on top of fruit.
Bake 375F for one hour. May need longer depending on variables.

In the future we are considering building a guest cabin for people to come, stay, take classes and see how we homestead ☺️

I noticed you only dry the white yarrow for your winter tea. Is there a reason you only use the white ones for tea or is it just a preference? Just curious because I grew yarrow for the first time this year to discourage the deer from our corn and I was looking for additional uses for it!

@@brittburkard3650 my understanding is that the white yarrow contains medicinal properties that hybrid yarrow (the pinks and purples) do not contain. I’ve read conflicting info on whether or not the hybrid yarrow is safe to consume in a tea. So for now, I just use my colorful yarrow in bouquets and to decorate soaps. And my white yarrow to make teas, and infuse oils for soaps. Hope that helps 🙂

@@wildwoodsandhomestead oh good to know! I'll keep the colorful ones for pretty things only until I can do further learning and I can get my white ones planted next year. Thank you so much for sharing. 🥰
