    off road is more fun IMO than street. I have a dual sport XT250. I would recommend for you to get some protective gear for those times you will fall off. And it does happen alot. A fox sport titan jacket for starters.

    Nice video, the best part of the dual sport bikes is going through the finer trails, and then having the ability to take the road home legally. And abandoned rail lines can take you through some beautiful country. I ride lots of abandoned rail lines and love it!

    Nice video. That's exactly the kind of riding-exploring that a dual sport is good at, especially if it's a Honda.

  • @BarnStangz
    @BarnStangz 6 ปีที่แล้ว +4

    The 250 is a perfect size for playing around. I had an Yamaha XT250 back in the day and that thing was fun to rip! Looking forward to more adventures with the new whip. Glad Alexis got something new too! Hope y'all are doing well, we got some rain today, but at least the temps are more like fall in Ohio now...

    • @AdventureDaily
      @AdventureDaily  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It really is! My Dad had one of those as well, it was a turd but could definitely get you places, I hope the same to you! Raining for about three days straight here so I'm starting to get cabin fever but it should be drying up soon👍🏻

    • @BarnStangz
      @BarnStangz 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Oh yeah, my 250 was slow, but it revved to the moon, lol! Weather is getting sketchy here, supposed to be a big storm coming. I guess we'll see. Looking forward to seeing the new whip Alexis got! Be well man, and watch out for idiots on the road!

    Earlier this year I found a pretty fun route while storm running (staying ahead of or just outside the range of an oncoming storm while trying to "race" around it and not get caught inside). That was a blast. You should try it some time. xD

    Just do what I did, get a nice set of 18/21 street tires and switch them out when need be. Saves a good amount of money. Also little offroad tip towards getting stuck. Get a kickstand foot plate mount it to foot. Use kickstand when stuck to lean bike over and spin bike out pivoting on stand also good way to get bike unburied.

    • @AdventureDaily
      @AdventureDaily  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I have a set but I love these Kenda's on the street just as much. Good Idea but I couldn't have got the kickstand down in this situation, I have done that before on other bikes though! Thanks for watching!

      I love my heavily modified crf250l and will never sell it I can actually outride most guys in the woods no matter what bike they ride. I however just bought a plated dirt bike wr250f and man this ting in the woods weapon and it just plain rips and can handle the really fast paced riding over really rough whooped out sections with jumps. The suspension, weight and power make it a ton of fun, it is geared 12 teeth larger on rear sprocket than stock 250l, so it is 55mph on the road to the trail on my 90/10 tires, but I still love my 250l and it is the more comfortable bike by far and it is still a ton of fun. I had to get a seat concepts seat for the wr250f, the stocker is like a rock! I also ordered a rear way to expensive aluminum cargo rack, and nelson Rigg expandable trunk like bag with rain/mud cover included just like how I have my crf250l set up. I am spoiled with the crf250l and now both bikes have large tanks pipes the works, and I love it! So I felt like the seat and rack were a must add to complete my new ride.

    Complete newbie here so this might be a dumb question but when you got stuck at 10:40ish couldn't you just grab the back tire and lift it out of the spot? The bulk of the weight of the bike is mid to front yeah so seems doable? You're clearly a great rider so maybe the way you did it was easier? (def kept your hands cleaner)

  • @lucahoganyt4435

    I can see the appeal for these things as a tame trail bike and also because it's street legal, but in terms of dirt riding only it's the worst 250 I've ever ridden. My buddy has a 2018 and I personally hate it off-road. Way too heavy, the suspension's shit, and it's way too wide. But it is street legal which is a huge bonus. And for very tame trail riding it's not completely useless

    Does it make it through tough sand very well.?

    • @AdventureDaily
      @AdventureDaily  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      I have not had the chance to experience that yet but if you had a decent tire I am sure it would chug along, definitely not the ideal amount of power for sand though.

    Love that new bike. Just stripped the rear axle bolt on my Grom, split the 19mm nut to get the axle out, got to get a new one or order one today, man that nut was stuck; I'm not the only one to do that though. Houses next to a train track, not good, they should keep it dirt.

    • @AdventureDaily
      @AdventureDaily  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Me too! And bummer man how did you strip it? And yes I agree, I don't know why people pay so much money to live in neighborhoods like that but they sure do😂

    • @reallyoldfart6540
      @reallyoldfart6540 6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Attention Deficit not a 100% certain how I stripped it, I never use an impact wrench. The nut has metal locking instead of nylon, the axle was loose and couldn't tighten or loosen the nut, I put a slot in the 17mm side first but no go, it was so tight it was like a torsion bar, I was afraid I would do more damage, it was quicker for me to cut it off by splitting the 19mm side down to the washer and just pop the nut off. I thinking of maybe nylon type lock nut, on a Grom forum someone did that, or just use original and see if it happens again.
