- Almighty Norse Viking God (in the Nordic and Germanic mythology), Odin is the master of Ásgard. God of knowledge, war and the dead, he resides in the palace of Valaskjálf.
From his throne, Hlidskjalf, he observes the nine worlds of the Nordic cosmology.
His fabulous objects such as his spear Gungnir and his ring Draupnir have inspired legends, books such as those of Tolkien with the Lord of the Rings, but also George R. R. Martin, author of the series Game of Thrones, or movies such as those of the Marvel Cinematic Universe and others before them.
Odin rides Sleipnir, a fantastic eight-legged horse and his domain is forbidden and inaccessible to mortals. Only the gods and the creatures in their service can see the Bifröst, the rainbow bridge that connects his domain to the earth.
If you like the powerful and aggressive impulses of Junkie XL aka Tom Holkenborg (300: Rise of an Empire, Mad Max: Fury Road, Deadpool...), the ostinatos, the ardor of Hans Zimmer (Gladiator, Inception, Dune... ), the inspirations, the dense orchestrations of John Williams (Star Wars, Harry Potter, Indiana Jones), and the contrasts of Howard Shore's music (The Lord of The Rings Trilogy, The Hobbit, The Wolf of Wall Street), this piece pays tribute to these composers among others.

Odin, aka the hugest nerd in the nine realms. You got me with theat one. The runes gave me an awkward feeling, though I couldn't think of him with that crown. You should apply as a composer for gow 6

Hi! This is awesome! 🤩 The track is very powerful and is really fit for the king of Asgard 🙌 although I expected to see Odin holding his spear Gungnir in the thumbnail, it is still beautiful. Among the many things connected to him (such as Draupnir, Gungnir and Sleipnir), there are also his companions: the two wolves Geri and Freki, and the two ravens Huginn and Muninn. He sacrificed his eye for wisdom, then he hung himself on Yggdrasil for nine days and nights to learn the runes. He is also one of the greatest practitioners of magic, along with Freya. I absolutely loved the theme ❤️ I hope you are doing well and I can't wait to see for who will be the next composition 😊
Hello :D thank you so very much for your amazing feedback!! Yes, at first I also thought I would give Him His spear but I must be honest : I ran out of time so I chose to leave the axe. If TH-cam could enable video and audio versions, it would be perfect to adjust some details (sometimes, they are big) but except if I'm wrong, it's not possible :/ So I thought I'd keep on focusing more on music and let the axe.
There are many things we could associate with Odin as you mention :)

Ow man !!! It makes me think about so many things, bringing a lot of images. I love the part at 0:45. It makes me think of John Williams' ostinatos for Star Wars (especially at 1:15) but with your own signature. Brilliant !!
Thanks a lot!! I must admit I was very influenced by John Williams' Duel of the Fates where Darth Maul fights the you Obi-Wan and Qui-Gon Jinn. I tried to be at the right place to make it just an hommage but to keep focus on my own theme and ideas so I'm glad you pointed out that.

I think you should have added a fast drum roll at the start of this theme .
Maybe either at 0:03 or at 0:21 . What do you think ?. I am talking about that orchestral drum roll that you can actually hear somewhere near the end of duel of fates made by John Williams .
I would love it as an idea for Odin ... a drum roll and strong drums or strong gongs after that .

Yes, I used several libraries to shape the children's choir. Among them, Metropolis Ark 2 by Orchestral Tools and Men of the North by Cinesamples ;)

The whole theme is like a mix of Sebastien's work with clues from those great composers .
Nice theme , very good job with Odin . I expected something quite different but that was nice . Your themes that dont have vocals at all like Hestia , Hermes , Artemis ,Demeter and Dionysus really blew my mind !! . You should make a theme without vocals again some time ... maybe for Pegasus . For Artemis though I would really have loved it if you had tried some vocals like the ones Tom Holkenborg used for Wonder Woman at Zack's Snyder's Justice League . I dont know if you can make a new theme for Artemis with female vocals but its okay if you wont . I know you have a lot of work to do .
Cant wait for the next theme AND I HOPE WE WILL GET A MUSICAL TEASER tomorrow or SOON ENOUGH .

I still haven't watched Batman Mask of Phantasm but for the rest, I can only agree : I love "hiding" more or less obvious hommages to the composers I admire ;)
About the instrumental pieces for the future, I like the idea of being more diverse. It's actually easier to play instruments I know and use sections that are familiar to me but above anything, I think the best thing in music and creation in general is surprise.
So I hope I'll be able to rise the challenge ;)

AND 2:23 - 4:03 especially make me think of Hector ...Hector deserved some epic music like this . With vocals like these ...with an atmosphere like this and with powerfull drums like these .I love Hector as a character and I loved your take on Hector but only the first half of it .
If you had added those Odin parts for the last 3 minutes maybe ...then Hector would be one of your really best .

Now I want to make a comment about Patroclus !!. I have an idea about him so I hope you are still working on him . Make the instruments sound like thunders coming from the sky ..and the atmosphere sound like a battle during rain . The feelings that the music causes should be like a battle during rain .
You should also use Thor's finale for Patroclus epic moment .Look at my previous comments in Thor's video
.Please use Thor's music at some point for Patroclus .
Divide Patroclu's theme in 3 parts .
PART 1 : Tender ,hopefull ( makes you think of Patroclu's youthfullness)
PART 2 : Make it more intense ...like the war of Troy is about to begin and the Greeks are sailing for Troy .
PART 3 : EPIC . Patroclus fights the Trojans ...and Hector .
This is when you make it like 1:13 ,1:29 and 1:46 - 2:02 .

This is my least favorite thumbnail haha . I dont like Odin looking like a Night Walker from GAME OF THRONES . I liked a lot the epic beginning and then the more calm approach . Excellent idea and vocals . Very good and nice job with Odin .
Now really hope that the next ones are Patroclus , Circe , Seth , Adonis , Jason and Medea !! .
Hey :) I get it. But you must know I was inspired by some Viking warpaint that looked like this.
It also refers to His role as God of the dead. I've seen many similar representations of Odin, and I'm not trying to build an archetype, just my own personal and humble vision ;)
But thanks for being honest and telling me each time what you like and don't like ; it allows me to try and improve my work hopefully ;)
