This guy is brilliant.
When I was in my pre-teens, my mom was a big fan of Michael Franti. She saw him live twice, and I went with both times. He ended the shows with this song, and invited all the kids in the audience to come up on stage with him while he sang this one.
Just from that alone, this dude strikes me as genuinely being every bit as cool as he seems. The world could use more people like him.

Hi Michael!! I wanted to tell you something that really meant a lot to me.
About 10 years ago, my Dad was in hospice care for quite sometime from a stroke and an aortic aneurism. I played this song for him and he smiled, grabbed my hand, closed his eyes and took his last breath.
I cant thank you enough. Id give you anything because you helped him release his pain and die as happy as he could.

I just randomly stumbled upon this guy at Jazz Fest playing. I never heard of him before, but he was awesome. I had heard this song before, but I never knew it was by some guy who I didn’t know. His music is so motivational tho and I feel like we need more people like him. The world would be a better place, I think we can all agree on that.
I actually just seen this man perform tonight at a concert in Pittsburgh him and his band had such and amazing vibe so positive and and kind!!
