Hope the Action Figure Gods accept my sacrifice of a $30 marvel legends and make a new pinless Deadpool next year 😂😅

I never used primer I just use Apple Barrel Grey as the base and I use modpodge as my sealer or Krylon matte spray.

Sorry for the long comment, but a few suggestions for next time: you should sand the joints on these figures by hand with sandpaper instead of relying on the rotary tool (you might end up with a pretty craggy and jagged surface with the rotary tool). Don't flood the figure with the primer, build up a few light coats; I'd also suggest using Tamiya or Citadel brand hobby primer. That way the figure will turn out a lot nicer and the paint won't get all sticky. I've used pinless figures for my customs and with the techniques I've used they've turned out just fine (specifically a Jill Valentine from Resident Evil which I still need to make a video on), and there's no paint chipping when I move the joints. I feel like if you follow those two little techniques, the next time you try it'll work out just fine!

So you just sanded the joints on the pinless body without removing the actual limbs ? Also is primer always required? Thank you for the tips ⚡️

@@Collect2Disconnect Yep, I sanded down the joints without removing them _at the elbow and knee joints_ (however I did pop off the arms and legs at the bicep rotation and the ball-jointed thighs respectively). Primer isn't really always required, but it's recommended as that way you get a nice even colour to paint over and you won't get any unevenly dark or light spots that would ruin the look of the paint.

Larry Bird baby. For a 1st effort I think it came out amazing. Experience is what you gained and that feels sweet. I liked this episode alot. Sharing all your learning. Use a clothes peg to grip what your painting/ spraying. Get a sand paper pack that has a range of grits e.g. 400 grit to 10,000 grit. Experiment, fail, destroy, learn, build, laugh, learn. You may find that a 10,000 grit finish will darken the red by 3 or 4 tones. How does this happen? I don't know, I got lucky. I built a custom heart for a trophy for my brother about two weeks ago. Milliput, sandpaper, red spray, clear matt spray, and skill and patience. I started a 2nd one and placed 3 magnets in it so my brother can put it on his fridge once I'm finished with it. Also using the right sand paper by hand is more finesse than a drimmel. Maybe experiment with your girlfriends nail polish remover and see what that does. Since Saturday I've been working on fully restoring 2nd hand full suspension mountain bike, piece by piece. Originally worth 250, my brother picked it up for 60. Proper shit condition, but the frame is excellent. Enjoying it alot and learning alot. Gonna add add suspension seat post with a secondary suspension system on top which I haven't seen anyone do before. Gotta try it out of desperation, I need the suspension because I feel real fragile. Like Samuel L Jackson in a wheel chair in that Shamalayan movie. If you ever get rid of a quality spidey, please send it my way xxx I congratulate your effort on this custom episode and that you saw it through to the very end. P.s. maybe you didn't shake the primer can for long enough! Only joking :)

It came out well. Maybe heating the figure up with hot water will help to take apart figures with pinless joints.

Thanks man! I saw a few videos on how to do it but it was a little more difficult than I thought . From now on I’ll only be using pinned bodies instead of pinless to actually make it easier haha

Awesome try for first custom, keep at it! If you're looking for a more classic DP, I'd recommend getting the retro card version, and then filling in the peg holes (with apoxie and paint just over those small spots). I love the new torso movement on the RYV Spidey, but the butterfly joints don't have as much range as the older Sunfire/2099 body (which that retro DP uses). The neck has more up and down movement too, and if you want head side to side for more expression, dremel inside the head a bit - but that's risky haha

I’ll be honest the whole pinless thing was more of a gimmic just cause I know there isn’t such thing as a pinless marvel legends Deadpool (yet) but I do want to get more serious in doing action figure customizing. I mentioned in the video I do want a perfect fully painted custom figure in my collection done by me just for the satisfaction of it all. Pinned bodies are the way to go and once I get it down, I’ll be doing more of it ! Thanks for commenting and watching ⚡️🔥

Practice makes Practice my friend , The next figure will be better and the next will be better than the last as long as you keep trying and learning new things. It's pretty ballsy to do customs and start w/ pinless .
I had something close happen to me when I tried taking the cell shading off of the Retro Animated Wolverine and he came ut looking like the Toxic Avenger wearing a Wolvie costume .

As a customizer we always end up getting in our own way. I think you are not giving yourself enough credit, this is an awesome custom. may not be perfect but damn it's a great job.❤

Means a lot and yes! I was my biggest enemy while making this custom . When I was “finished” with it, I debated on even uploading a video about it but decided to show my failures to the public and improve from it 🙌

Thank you! And yea it doesn’t look half bad but from the beginning the paint wasn’t working out also it doesn’t function correctly meaning it can’t articulate without rubbing paint off so that’s why I considered it a major fail haha thank you for watching 🙌⚡️
