I always found it really inconsistent, at least compared to smash 4 link's ftilt. I think it depends more on your spacing (only the tip goes low enough), and also the opponent's ledge grab animation, so it only works against specific characters. Then again, I stopped going for 2 frames after I couldn't get them to work, so it's possible I just sucked and gave up.
lol since when did T's Link become so boring to watch? Nothing but the same 4 moves the _entire_ set: N-air, F-air, side-B, and occasionally up-B. Talk about a linear game plan - I'm actually amazed he won in the end, and not in a good way.
That's just Greninja vs Link. You have to throw out your quickest moves or Greninja will juggle you for days. Yes, it looks boring, but it's the optimal way to play this matchup. Similar to fighting sheik and most rushdown characters. They are Link's biggest weakness since he's a middleweight and doesn't have any quick attacks other than nair. As a Link main myself, I enjoyed this a lot simply because he played the matchup perfectly. Aside from the SDs in Game 2, that was sloppy, but it was because he was trying to mixup his recoveries and was slightly off on the timings.
rushdown shuts down a lot of Links options. Any other Link player would have reacted by trying harder and harder to get away, space and zone in vain. But T simply played the matchup right, patiently and methodically with options he knew were safe. If that's boring then oh well, his goal is to win not entertain.
Kid Icarus I'm kind of wondering what you would have had him do in the matchup instead. It's not really the moves you throw out, it's how you use and space them and when you throw them out. It's not boring if you stop thinking about "what button is he pressing" and instead think about how he got his hits in
If only the casters actually knew these characters' moves...too many mistakes by them
They said up smash while he did a fair
Does link f tilt 2 frame?
And if so can it hit opponent hanging on ledge?
As a link main, I just either nair near ledge or bomb trap
Edward Wilson it does and it's active for a lot of frames. Good for when you don't have time to set up bomb

Tim no you're completely correct, I think T went for it more because greninja's ledge grab sticks really far over the ledge
F-tilt does not 2 frame in this game, but it does hit ledge stalls
Wow apparently links f tilt is as consistent as potato salad
I wonder why T doesn't use the remote bomb more often
Hope to see more link competitive play
Gekkouga
Should I main gekkouga or link
Up to you
T ❤
announcing was unbearable

Link is heavy, not middleweight. However i wish T would get better with using bombs creatively. Once he masters that... Oh boy
He could've used more tilts tho. Just to mix it up
