Finally a good version of this. THANK YOU for this. Most of these versions are in the 80s. This one is great. I wish Dino would of did some studio recordings of certain songs.. but he didn’t and that’s fine lol
@@godop4021 this one and then there is one that the DMA ( Dean Martin association) uploaded a live concert from 77 and it’s pretty good. I don’t mind the 1980s versions but these two are closest to prime singing dean. I wish he would of sat down and recorded more in the studio like Frank but he didn’t lol. Makes these live songs special for me.
@@titan-tm7kl as a Dino fan I can agree. I wish Dean put more emphasis in song covers later on. But this is the best Dino version I got so I’ll be happy! Haha
Incredible! Thank you so very much for finding and posting this. I only ‘discovered’ this song about a month ago, but it is undoubtly one of his bests.
Hi everybody i have a little question maybe somebody can give me an answer. Why was dino wearing two ring on his left hand? I was just knowing that he wear only one on his left littlefinger. Was the other one of his wedding rings?
He had recently married Cathy Hawn and I believe he wore a ring throughout those 3 years. He also wore a wedding ring in the first few years of marriage to Jeanne.
Thanks for the help pal 👍🏻 that was the time it was not strange for an old Outfit guy to wear a ring on your little finger. Good old Times with good old tunes
This had a little Elvis style to it. Especially, when he sang “and meaner than a junkyard dog” in a deep voice. I think he stole a bit from Elvis and vice versa.
@@skipandslide Whether you use the term "stole" or you use the the term "imitate" it's all the same. Dean Martin "imitated" Bing Crosby and The Mills Brothers (as well as Perry Como) and Elvis was influenced by Dean Martin. You should remember imitation is the highest form of flattery. There's nothing negative about saying Dean stole from Bing or Elvis stole from Dino. They all admired and respected each other. I wonder why the fans can't do the same?
Best entertainer ever
he is mesmerizing.
Fabulous song, by the greatest entertainer ever👏👏👏💕
Stunning performance. Jokes thrown in too.

Indeed. This and They didn’t believe me are two among many. Oh well, the live versions are always amazing!

I think Frank Sinatra's version is better

Not quite like that envisioned by Jim Croce..this is the lounge singer version of the song
