The psycho husband beat the daylights out of Barbara at the garage. She had two severe trauma strikes to the forhead, a fractured nose and a bash to the back of the head,... besides other wounds. He got her back into the car , drove to the location of the ditch... when the drywall man came by he was probably on the down side of the car on the ground, where they couldnt be seen, inflicting a wound to her neck area with the bar. Then he bashed the bar through the windshield ( he had to do this twice since the first attempt he didnt go through the glass. There where two strikes to the windshield.)
Once the cops felt how heavy that pipe was they knew he was lying it's too heavy to fall out of a truck in front of him and fly up into his window. It would've fallen straight down and under a car
Todd kept trying to emphasize how much she was flailing about - he was desperate and knew that pipe story couldn't account for all her injuries - but the way he kept pushing the flailing made me suspicious from the beginning.
The explanation by the defendant that he was trying to pull the pipe out and only then tried to stop the car is completely absurd. No driver would do that! Your first reaction is to slam on the brakes, stop wherever you are (you would barely have time to watch for traffic behind) and ONLY THEN you can begin to see what is going around of you. The defendant was really full of lies!
He even says in the interrogation that he jumps over onto her side of the car! He goes all over the place in his explanation, with just fragmented statements that are hard to even put together in a linear fashion. But he makes it sound like he was on her side of the car and that's when his leg hit the shifter nob. Ridiculous. If you saw a projectile of the size, the natural reaction would be to slam on the brakes and swerve.

I don't know about that because unless you actually been in that situation you don't know what you would do you can speculate what you might want to do and what you might hope you would do but until you have an emergency while you're driving you don't really know what you would do. I was driving down the road I had my newborn 4-day-old daughter and my 5 year old son in the car a wasp flew in through my window that was barely cracked landed in my lap and proceeded to crawl up my shorts (it had hit the window I guess bc I drove into it fell into drivers window landed in my lap between legs and fell down between my legs near my bottom and found it's way into my shorts) and stung me 14 times in this process.... starting from my front girly spot to my behind cheek..... horrible terrible terrifying experience, mind you. I ended up hitting the breaks several times thinking I could try and make it to the next driveway but the moment it would stop stinging .me it would suddenly start again so I'd hit the breaks again and after about the 7th sting I lost my mind and ended up just getting off the road and jumping out of my car... my car to my horror kept going and rolled fwd in a ditch... I'm stripped naked on the side of the road went to go get back in the car bc I was scared my kids would be hurt and my door handle broke off in my hand. Sounds insane but that's what happened. Most the ppl driving by just honked at me like I was insane. I thank God an older man happened to pull over and help me or gosh only knows where my children could have ended up- and I DID HIT THE BREAKS I DID put my car in park SO I THOUGHT.... Turned out I did not think to put it in park at all I just jumped out I was being repeatedly stung over and over and over again 14 total times and began having a reaction to being stung... Never in my life prior to that would you have asked me what would I do if that had happened would I have said that I would have let my car roll into a ditch!! For what it’s worth here’s my take on the case. I’ve watched most of the available videos. Todd and Barb share some similar characteristics. She was a bit OCD, she kept the house meticulously clean, was very particular about her appearance, didn’t like the windshield being in her garage, etc. He was very controlling, maybe also a bit OCD, kept tabs on his wife, called/texted her at work in her breaks, took her and picked her up from work, did mostly everything with her, acted in a suffocating way towards her. Leading up to the incident, he was going to be changing his work pattern, she didn’t approve, she was was also getting annoyed with a few things like the windshield in the garage and a couple of unpaid bills. She also had bouts of depression. I think brought on by Todd’s controlling behaviour. The combination of all these things built up over time and on the morning of the incident things were said between them that got both of them angry, but Todd snapped, lost his temper and wanted to inflict harm on Barb to such an extent that he wanted to kill her. And did. The Pipe story was obviously an attempt to cover up the murder.
Thanks for the recap, as I have not seen much video on this one!..I sure wish, (if wishes were horses! 🙄😳) if this guy is not guilty, it could be proven in some way! You didn't watch the 3 hours interview at the police station. Todd claimed it came off of a truck traveling in the *opposite* direction. He even added that it may have 'bounced' on a road bump but also said it 'rolled off'. In any case, it's a ridiculous story.

The witness that drove by and seen no damage is telling the truth... We all rubber neck when we see a car wreck or off the side of the road he would have noticed a busted windshield with blood on it.
Must’ve missed the part of cpr certification where they said that chest compressions are appropriate for a person that’s mumbling and flopping around. Strike one. I worked several murder cases where the suspect performed something like cpr to make sure the victim bled out or alleged that they’d done cpr to explain marks on one or both of them.

One day driving with my sister at the wheel an unseen train blew its horn, my sister reacted by punching both fists on the windshield toward the sound on my side (passengers side). There’s so much wrong with Todd’s story that I barely know where to start! His claim that they were looking for a truck in which he needed to install a new windshield when he and his family were supposedly leaving on a trip shortly after Barbara finished work at 2pm makes so sense whatsoever. Todd made a point of saying (in his police interrogation I believe) that Barbara always helped him when he installed windshields because it was a two-person job.
A broken nail is a lot different then the condition her nails were in at the autopsy. As the witness said most women, especially women who are meticulous about their appearance, would fix the nail as soon as they could.

It was getting late and raining so I decided to break a window! I tried breaking the little one at the side of the back ..now way would it budge..however the front passenger window did and I'm not that strong.. think I used a tyre lever. The witness that drove by and seen no damage is telling the truth... We all rubber neck when we see a car wreck or off the side of the road he would have noticed a busted windshield with blood on it.
Must’ve missed the part of cpr certification where they said that chest compressions are appropriate for a person that’s mumbling and flopping around. Strike one. I worked several murder cases where the suspect performed something like cpr to make sure the victim bled out or alleged that they’d done cpr to explain marks on one or both of them.
Todd was so convincing in his story, I guess he followed George Constanza's philosophy:
"Jerry, just remember, it’s not a lie if you believe it."
More likely "Trumps Truth", don't believe what the evidence shows, what experts reveal, what reports indicate, "truth isn't truth (lie master Rudy G).

One day driving with my sister at the wheel an unseen train blew its horn, my sister reacted by punching both fists on the windshield toward the sound on my side (passengers side). It was the weirdest thing I had ever seen, but it was instinctual. She said she didn’t know what was happening, she was trying to protect me though.

Even the supervisor looked like she was smiling at the husband and seemed to be skewing some testimony in his favor. It's hard to understand how everyone was so fooled. Even if you take away all injuries other than from the neck up, it doesn't match with what he said happened. He didn't call 911 for 5 minutes by his own admission! I feel so horrible for her that almost no one stood up for her in the end.

There’s so much wrong with Todd’s story that I barely know where to start! His claim that they were looking for a truck in which he needed to install a new windshield when he and his family were supposedly leaving on a trip shortly after Barbara finished work at 2pm makes so sense whatsoever. Todd made a point of saying (in his police interrogation I believe) that Barbara always helped him when he installed windshields because it was a two-person job.

The judge is "the Court" and doesn't defer to any other components of the proceedings. The jury defers to the judge, not the other way around.

Judges are required to give jurors breaks at regular intervals as set by jurisdiction. Judges take that break timekeeping seriously asf.

I think he sounded really genuine on the 911 can and at the scene. By the end of the interrogation I was thinking hmm.. now at trial and 2 days I'm pretty convinced he did it. The emotions at the scene was probably genuine.. he just killed his wife and staged a crime scene, he probably was emotional

I'm not too sure about this one.... As much as we all like to judge and think we know and believe we would do this that or the other in some situations.... When it comes down to it NONE OF US knows what we would do. We only HOPE we would do something one way or another.
I find it hard since what I'm about to share with you all happened, to speculate on others reactions or lack thereof.... I learned the hard way that day unless you're ACTUALLY in that situation you don't really know WHAT YOUd do or would not do.... you can ONLY SPECULATE what you might want to do and what you might HOPE you would do but until you have an emergency while you're driving you don't really know what you would do. I was driving down the road I had my newborn 4-day-old daughter and my 5 year old son in the car a wasp flew in through my window that was barely cracked landed in my lap and proceeded to crawl up my shorts (it had hit the window I guess bc I drove into it fell into drivers window landed in my lap between legs and fell down between my legs near my bottom and found it's way into my shorts) and stung me 14 times in this process.... starting from my front girly spot to my behind cheek..... horrible terrible terrifying experience, mind you. I ended up hitting the breaks several times thinking I could try and make it to the next driveway but the moment it would stop stinging .me it would suddenly start again so I'd hit the breaks again and after about the 7th sting I lost my mind and ended up just getting off the road and jumping out of my car... my car to my horror kept going and rolled fwd in a ditch... I'm stripped naked on the side of the road went to go get back in the car bc I was scared my kids would be hurt and my door handle broke off in my hand. Sounds insane but that's what happened. Most the ppl driving by just honked at me like I was insane. I thank God an older man happened to pull over and help me or gosh only knows where my children could have ended up- and I DID HIT THE BREAKS I DID put my car in park SO I THOUGHT.... Turned out I did not think to put it in park at all I just jumped out I was being repeatedly stung over and over and over again 14 total times and began having a reaction to being stung... Never in my life prior to that would you have asked me what would I do if that had happened would I have said that I would have let my car roll into a ditch!! With my newborn and 5 yr old in it. of course not!!! we all like to THINK we know exactly what we would do in that moment but when it happens to you it doesn't happen the way you think it would. I'm just thankful my babies didn't end up drowned or hit by other cars this was back in 2002 no videos any where I mean no one would have believed what happened to me in that moment had one of them ended up dead. Yes I had stings to prove I was stung but people still would have judged me for my car not being in park and what they would have done.... WE NEVER REALLY KNOW until it HAPPENS to us and THANK GOD it never has.

@@platedlizard well said. I once locked my keys in my car at a service station years ago. I actually asked some young guys if they could break into my car...funny but they said no. It was getting late and raining so I decided to break a window! I tried breaking the little one at the side of the back ..now way would it budge..however the front passenger window did and I'm not that strong.. think I used a tyre lever. A pipe easily would break it but he had 2 goes..unlucky for him..lucky for Barbara. Oh it cost me a fortune to replace my window too grrr
