I remember being particularly inspired by "Decorative Dressmaking." My favourite Claire Shaeffer book is "The Complete Book of Sewing Shortcuts." I learned a ton of things from that one.
Great list. I would like to add another classic that should be in every sewing space, IMO. Fine Machine Sewing by Carol Ahles. Incredible book and from way back. It has had several iterations to keep up with the latest models of machines but wonderful book.

In this section click the filter button to sort the Used based on like new, very goo d, etc. I have found that libraries will list here and the pricing is very reasonable.
