The Great Adventure

Just the other day I was sitting on the front porch with my Lord
Thanked Him for today and watched the storm approaching, boy it poured
Reflecting on my life while His thunder and His lightning filled the sky
Through the laughter and the tears, my soul was lifted up where eagles fly
His blessings overflow despite the tribulations He put me through
These storms passed away like the sky above me turns from grey to blue
The great adventure continues to unfold
Expect the unexpected, and this life won’t grow old
The great adventure, a journey God has planned
Sometimes the things He does we might not understand
Just the other night I was resting on my bed and this I prayed
He help me do Your will and Your power in my life would be displayed
The older that I grow, the more I realize that I am so weak
I open to His Word and listen to the Spirit to hear God speak
Time it marches on, soon I’ll be in heaven before His throne
Whether I live or die, I know that God is with me, I’m not alone
The great adventure continues to unfold
