Spending the night inside the Miami Airport!

- Come with us as we spend one night at the Miami International Airport. We decided to try this out so we didn't have to deal with shuttles or dropping off our rental car. Do you think it is going to be worth it to avoid those travel hassles for an early morning flight?

i stayed there last september (by myself on a business trip) and have two rooms booked for july, though i'm having second thoughts about bringing an 8 month old into that room. I thought the room was pretty disgusting. It was ok for me for one night, but i'm wondering how the hotels are in the area. And if the tradeoff of having to shlep into a car is worth it.
We didn't think the room was modern by any means but we didn't feel it was dirty or unclean. It did show some wear but the location did help in the morning not having to worry about the car. Hope you have a good trip no matter what you decide!
It would have to be a specific set of circumstances that I'd opt to stay there. How quiet was the room at night due to proximity of ya know the jets?
I totally agree! We only stayed there because of the early flight and then we didn't have to deal with a rental car or shuttle in the morning. I don't remember hearing any planes so they must have been fairly soundproof rooms.
no noise at all. The wall and window must be super thick. I didn't hear a thing.
Staying here at the end of this month. Maps is taking to an odd location when I add it in. Did you just drop your family off at the departure entrance?
Yes! That seemed to work out better. There was a luggage cart in their lobby if you have a number of bags.
i drove right up and parked my rental car in the unloading lane while i checked in and got my luggage up to the room. My car was probably out there for 20 minutes. When came back out to the car a security person told me to move it which i was about to do anyway. The hotel desk manager said it was fine to leave it out there while i was checking in and apparently he was right. I then dropped it off at the car rental center and took the people mover back to the terminal. It's on the departure level.
