Throwing out such a fine-detailed, overly technical example like "vfx pass" was an awful example lol... there's so many other easier to understand examples that could have been made. Please everyone keep in mind that roles in game-dev along with each of their specific duties can vary considerably depending on things like company size, culture, vision of a higher-up, etc. etc. Interesting to hear how Riot approaches it for some titles though; not suprised they are embracing scrum, etc.
