Only been to Ipoh once, love the foods there and it's very cheap too. I stayed very near to the night market, just 2 street away. Love to visit there again someday

Seriously, ur wife spoke so well. Keep it up👍 Malaysian ppl really like hot sauce and spicy. Especially , dim sum must dip wiz hot sauce otherwise feel too plain. The best things in Malysia is you will never get starving no matter Day or night cos foods stalls, restaurants are everywhere and open till late. If after midnight we usually like to hang out wiz buddies at Mamak stall. Give it a try. Hope you guys have a wonderful trip in Malaysia ❤
You doing excellent in cantonese (for a blond hair lady). I understood everything you said. It's OK with a slight accent. We speak English with an accent too.
Dim sum in Peninsul, most we have is chili sauce, sweet soy sauce, and mayonnaise. Most coffee shop would have chilli sauce. Meanwhile in East Malaysia, which is in Sabah, we have Ketchup, chilli sause, and mayonnaise. There's many nice dim sum in Ipoh, and you might have to ask the local which is the best dim sum. Believe Ipoh Mali, they knew what's the best. Enjoy.
A lot of people on average know a handful of language in Malaysia. As a kid a lot grew up watching tvb so our Cantonese are mostly learn from TV, our nanny back then speak hokkien, primary school study in Chinese school, secondary went to Malay and English school, family route comes from Hakka. So Chinese, Hakka, hokkien, Malay , English, Cantonese 6 language.
To Torres: 去遛其實好多廣東人都係咁講, 舊底廣東人過到馬來西亞一直延續返尼種說話方式 To GG: Try to speak more Cantonese when you are in Yipo, then you will be fluent Cantonese speaker when come back to Hong Kong. You have a good try in this video

Very good Cantonese. Well done! Did you not try "oh jien" means fried oyster in hokkien. It's very popular in Penang but you might get it in Ipoh hawker stall too.
Torres, we Malaysian eat anything, anytime, as long as we love it. You can have dim sum, Nasi lemak, roti canai, porridge during supper, or vice versa bak kut teh for breakfast. We are foodies. 香港的廣東話算容易學，但是連馬來西亞的廣東話都會說的話，就真的好厲害👍，當地廣東話口音是不容易的，而且GG係外國人，And I am shock when GG speak kopi冰😮
