I like your video the best for cleaning mat. I always have tons of baking soda and I buy packages of those sponges. Thank you so very much for posting this for all of us here!!
Hi... So sorry for the Super delayed response. If it's spray adhesive, I use baking soda/salt paste. If it's hard glue, you can try using a sharp knife to pick it off by sliding the blade between the glue and the mat
I thought a cutting mat was self-healing but I guess it's not wouldn't rubbing it with something like baking soda mess it up from applying pressure self-healing I thought was once you cut ✂️ on it it would seal itself back up so if the fibers get into then how is it self healing I don't get it because if you rub it the fibers are released please explain it to me
Some mats are self healing... Meaning that the cuts you make with your rotary cutter close up ... But, you're right, the fibers from the fabric get trapped in the cuts... Over time, the surface becomes yucky from all the enclosed fibers. I've since moved on the a cutting mat from the Big Mat Rotary Cutting Surface Company... It's not self healing... Instead it comes with a Mat Scraper that smooths the surface after making cut marks on it... I've had it for over a year and I still LOVE it!! Here's a link Love my cutting mat? Sorry I didn't see your comment earlier... It was a self healing mat. All the lint from my fabric got trapped in the deeper rotary cutter cuts... I have switched to an amazing cutting mat... That does not look like a self-healing cutting mat; it looks like a pinning mat.
