Hey! In Descendants 3, Celia says that EVIL spells don’t work on the isle. Maleficent turning into a lizard was a good spell, and the talking dog gummy magic wasn’t technically an evil spell. But Audrey cast an evil spell on Mal.
I believe Evie still has her powers, she just chooses not to use them. Maleficent was a fairy so her powers were natural while the Evil Queen used potions for her magic. The mirror was magic on its own, but was probably spelled to only work for the EQ which is why it only worked for Evie in Auradon, but besides that we do see Evies amazing chemistry abilities in D1 and D2 when she creates the smoke bombs for the pirates. This resembles the potion casting abilities her mother had in Snow White. Also it’s very noticable that Evie was excited to be in Auradon and as soon as she had the choice, she chose good remotely quickly. So along with giving up her mirror she probably used her powers for more practical reasons like chemistry
In the Aisle only bad magic gets blocked, so the grandma thing got taken down since Audrey did it for a bad reason, but the others were good magic so that kept existing.
There are a few more things: how did Audrey just get inside with not using her hands to open the gate? How did the security guard fall asleep a soon as Audrey came into the museum?

No. He was not still under the sleeping spell from Mal, because after the alarm went off from Jay trying to steal the wand, the guard woke up and ran to investigate. He was probably tired and bored because on an island of all good people, a guard wouldn't see much action. It'd be a boring job.
The museum guard really was under a sleeping spell, but mal didn't cast the spell. Audrey cast that spell so she could steal the scepter and crown unnoticed.

But when the scene cuts back, there's less pears on the table. I guess Audrey just hates fruit that much.
The security thing always bugged me. Most powerful things in anywhere and they are literally so unprotected. It's only ever seen to have one security guard, when it should have WAY more. It's so easy to steal things, it's sorta unbelievable.

one of my friends who watched Descendants 3 with me suggested a theory that seems to explained it she said that because he was using his ember in that scene and knowing that Mal was his child maybe he was transfering some of the power of the ember to her but because she was relatively unfamilar with that power it had a draining effect that made her feel drained when it actually was empowering her.and gifting her some of his powers to steal souls so that when he gave her the ember to save Auradon that it would capture the soul of the person attacking auradon and which then explains way audrey was put into a death like sleep after Mal had won the battle and why they needed hades to come to wake her up.

Plot hole I discovered that Celia looked like she would had a big role in the movie in her clip but then she only had a small role and Jane's birthday cake looked like it was barely eaten a couple of times and some green apples disappeared when Audrey abused Chad.

So in Descendants 2, one thing literally made no sense. Mal said that no spells worked in the isle of the Lost which was true as we saw but when Mal gave Uma the fake wand, it would obviously not work but even if she had given him the real wand it would probably not work there. There was no reason why Uma had to react like that... Makes sense to you??

Tala Rohrback my guess was the scepter drew her in because it sensed her anger so it allowed her to touch it. Otherwise according to the book she would have been cursed to sleep for a 100 years just for touching it.

If you look in the books, Dizzy still needed to be accepted by one of them and they could only take four so that would leave Evie without someone to invite.
