i'm a new sub, big Evercade fan here. i don't HATE returning things to Amazon, it gives me the chance to visit the Whole Foods about 15 minutes away and buy some exotic food items!
I love their support so far. I have a lot of Evercade stuff and I've also had the battery issue. Out of my 42 carts I've had an issue twice with a gamecartridge. Now, those are not very good numbers, but on all occasions I was sent a replacement fast and without issue. Didn't even have to send the non-functional ones back. They are quick to respond and very friendly, both by mail and on discord. I totally get the frustration and I'm not trying to sugarcoat anything, but their support is the best I've ever experienced from any brand.
I order burritos from one of my favorite Hispanic restaurants and they threw in a complimentary horchata and a thank you note one time. Every time I’ve ordered from them since, I’ve secretly hoped they’d throw another bonus horchata but nope. I am eternally disappointed.
thankfully i've had no bad experiences so far. having said that, i just have a VS and Super Pocket, two items that seem to be a lot more reliable than the EXP's.

My wife is getting me that Evercade pocket with taito games built in. Hope I don't have any of these problems 😮

Do you have at least firmware 4.0.1? That version of the firmware introduced a "cart stability feature" that may help your case (probably not).
