DIY FZ6R Exhaust for 50 Dollars!?

- I'm gonna show y'all how my brother and I put a slip on muffler on his Yamaha FZ6R. Since the original exhaust has the muffler welded onto the headers, there's no way you can do a slipon, like most bikes. So we lopped off the original muffler from the headers. Then we welded a car exhaust 2 inch to 3 inch reducer to the factory muffler, and then the converter included with the universal muffler was welded on to the reducer. Finally, we welded the loops for the springs, and slipped on the muffler. You're going to need to make a bracket to bolt the muffler to the original factory mounting spot, you can't just leave the muffler unsupported.

This is exactly what I want to do with my first bike I got the exact same color 09 I wish you had a longer version showing more details bc I’m not very handy lmao
@thegreatzacksbi If you're not very handy, I honeslty don't think this would be for you.
What size is the car exhaust pipe that you added
Does that not have a 02 sensor? Mine does. Would I have to change anything else with my system, or do you know? Thanks
@junkyard8113 it does not have one. If you have one the only thing I think you could do is drill out a hole on the converter piping, and weld a new O2 bung. Other wise nothing else was needed for us.
Don't shut it down..wait til neighbours complain and wake them up at 3am. Full throttle. Why else live but to ride?
can you send the link for the muffler and dimensions of couplers if you don't mind ? :)
Just search universal muffler, and 3 inch to 2 inch exhaust coupler
Whats muffler called, I'm actually saving up to buy one of these bikes and all the videos I seen so far sound like doo doo CAH CAH except this one
Its just a generic universal muffler. No brand.
@@MoswenMedia thx
Do you have to get it tuned/flashed afterwards?
No
