Technically this is the closest thing to a Yugi deck currently playable, somehow he manages to combine several of his archetypes without looking too weird

@@sowhazupguy it’s not a Gaia the dragon champion or Gaia the fierce knight card but it’s still a Gaia card if that makes sense . Like lore wise
@@sowhazupguywell you can run a substitute name fusion monster for the synchro and boom! You hardly have to change your build to accommodate synchros
Sometimes I wish Konami could make Dragon-warrior type coz Dark Magician The Knight of Dragon Magic is like half dragon and half warrior right.
Thanks a lot for the video!! I played Forbidden Memories and Duelists of the Roses and it made me want to play again. I think I quit in 2009 at the time. I tried to participate in a tournament in a store to commemorate the arrival of Duelist Nexus, it was nice. I'm looking to make some decks right now ( I started a Gaia and Red-eyes deck ), but I really like the Warrior cards overall ! And this Gaia deck seems perfect for my nostalgic vibes

Now all we need is some DMOC thrown in there and it'll be a perfect modern yugi deck lol
I would also suggest at least one or if you feel like it two, mahaama the fairy dragon. He can be searched with the field spell and fused with plus he can do damage to them in a last resort or heal and be a wall. Plus he's a tuner so you can use him to go into baronne de fleur if you want

@@DarkArmedDuelist I also enjoy one book of eclipse. Flip them all down then do your summons and since one of the gaias does piercing it can win the game. Can also mess them up from doing links and xyzs if you use on their turn. You just need to run a level 4 fusion to use with instant fusion to syncho the Mahaama with into baronne

I run a slightly modified version of this deck. Me and my friends have banned it from friendly matches due to power we all run a version of this deck. Otko is so fun and easy with it

The thing I really enjoyed about this deck originally is that it was very budget, with magicians soul it just went up by 60 dollars.
Gaia the Dragon Champion - the OG Fusion Monster :)
I really love this deck, but only being able to play 5 different types of monsters in the extra deck is so much different then the last deck profile you made on this deck but it's still a really fun deck

I was wondering what you think of using 3 fusion deployment Instead of the magician souls, preps, and illusion of chaos?

The new DM Gaia Fusion is so weird and lame, also the new "Gaia" Fusion is annoying too, since neither of the above cards can be used in a standard Gaia deck.
I just hope Gaia gets new actual support soon.

This build is toxic. When the new gaia monster comes out, this will be one way to make a person completely go berserk 😅
Why not Dark Cavalry?
It could be a good side option, but I think it's because of consistency: since you may or may not be blowing up your hand every chance you get to use as many combo pieces as possible; you won't have any cards to use Dark Cavalry's effect save for maybe once or twice that could cost you extra plays the next turn. So while a solid choice, it might just be too conflicting with the deck's consistency.
