Pretty sure that new players can directly jump from the end of Mondstadt's archon quest to Fontaine's beginning. There's a way point that gets unlocked in the desert.
@@IdOnThAvEaUsE69 Even as someone who has played since day one, I took a break for a bit, joined back when the sumuru update hit, but i was still a bit in the middle of the inazuma story BUT it let me walk casually into sumuru just fine. In the past youd have to do a lot but I think Genshin now is making it easier for early game people and even returning players and players who play non stop to play story stuff. You can even pause quests to do other things as well which is pretty neat now.
