Thanks for the explanation. I have the 35M and have been eyeing the 45H. I guess I was thinking incorrectly, I thought the H's spooled out the cable as well as pulled it in with the remote, glad I now know that was incorrect.
It only gives you the option to be away from tractor. It is a very handy winch. The part of walking back and forth from tractor to log can add a lot of time to your skidding. When you get into the hard skidding events it really shines. You can be on the tractor release the line and drive it out then reel it back in from the seat. This can be handy when the weight of the log prevents you from pulling with tractor in low traction areas. It also is nice to walk the log back to the tractor pulling right away. If you get into a bind you can be right there to fix it. Glad the video helped to how the winch operates. I will try to do more videos to demonstrate some more uses of the 45H Uniforest.
