These forestry winches are great but this one's missing two key features. It needs a lower pulley block and a hitch receiver. I wouldn't buy a winch without these two options.
To answer your question, i own a norse 450 the butt plate swing out pull the the pin and lift your attachement and you can hitch your trailer or whaterver to your tractors direct and theres two pulley positions one is high and the other is low, best winch for the price!
The swing-out butt plate sounds like a good idea. I wish the video would have showed it. I see the pulley block in the upper position now. Is there a pin or latch that holds the butt plate up when pulling a trailer? Thanks.
@@marknussbaum8394 yes sir the butt plate can be left swinging like in the video or you can lock it upwards or you can take the hole thing right off lol theres two postions of course the higher one is the one i use the most if you look closely maybe on the norse website or ingland same thing you see more of it features 👊

They are demonstrating it in a clear area, the main utility is for logs the tractor can't safely or easily reach.
