If you look around is not that bad. Since 2020 was Covid crisis then war in Ukraine. Actually EU did it pretty well compared to USA. Yeah everything is more expensive but that is normal. If you asked people live when there was a deutsche mark they will cry. World change so is normally to get a little expensive
As a swede this is much appreciated, we don't get as much German politics in our news compared to US news. But if you get denied asylum...why should you stay? If you don't enforce you might as well not have rules in the first place.
I think they want to repatriate people who have been given the asylum. The problem Germany has is that it is immoral to deny people asylum when your ally destroys their country, occupies their oil and agricultural lands, puts industries under sanction and suddenly there is no way to procure any food for most of the population.
As an American I'm amused by the current amount of chaos in European politics at the moment. I often see Europe complain about my own country's government, but you guys have enough issues there as it is, if not...'more' issues.
Respectful Greetings! To: DW News. History: The SPD was founded in 1875, making it Germany's oldest political party. In the tumultuous first decades of the 20th century, the party acted as an umbrella organization for a number of leftist movements, trade unionists, and communists. But with the founding of the Communist Party of Germany (KPD) in 1919, the SPD became the permanent home of the social justice reformers, rather than the revolutionaries - though that didn't stop its politicians from being sent to concentration camps during the Third Reich. The Social Democratic Party of Germany (SPD) is a center-left political party that focuses on social democracy and pro-Europeanism. Some of their main policies include: Economic Modernization: They advocate for modernizing the economy to meet the demands of globalization while addressing the social needs of workers and disadvantaged groups. Social Justice: The SPD emphasizes social justice and the welfare state, supporting programs that ensure economic growth and employment. European Union Commitment: They are firmly committed to the European Union and have a nuanced stance on Germany's partnership with the United States. Courteously! Luis Van-Dunem
In the US, we were all shocked that a poor/failed candidate like Trump won by a wide margin. The retrospective learning is the population SHIFTED RIGHT because of Immigration and the Economy and voted for the party saying it would tackle those concerns. These are also top concerns for Germany.... so consider the right's rise a warning sign as Germany's own politicians have struggled for decades to address voter's immigration concern. It's very interesting that the federal standards in the rest of the West (yearly immigration/asylum quotas, return to home on visa expiration, social benefits for citizens, etc) is highly controversial in Germany. The historic rationale is understood but I see Germany's paralysis and fear of openly discussing immigration leading the nation into a similar blind-spot as the US.
Afd to my understanding are not against immigration coming into Germany , it means you have to come through visa application. As I know no landlord and allow people in without checking who the tenant to be is.
Olaf Scholz is no match for Chancellorship due to the poor job he has done😂 If not for the scapegoating of AFD, it should been the party to beat. CDU is now popping the Champagne 🍾 & that's unfair😔
DW talking about "far-right" after making a report suggesting to seize territories from Sirya, Iran and Turkey to create a nation state can't be any more hypocritical
seriously, you think someone who shouts "re-migration" is not far right and it's just the media that are "portraying" them as extreme? they are potentially talking about taking away people's citizenship, meaning they would be deciding who is "German" enough in their eyes. don't you really see the issue? I am not particularly a left leaning person, but some stuff are just a matter brain and decency.
How can Olaf Scholz still be chancellor candidate after such a poor job? Germany really needs a major change.
He's poor but far better than the Greens and CDU...

Thank you! Was much appreciated.

The fact that you have the picture of AFD on your video is very thought provoking.
Der moment wo ich sah den Herrn Scholtz keine Antwort geben auf die frage ob er fehler gestehen konnte war ich raus

Well the far left DW news is consistent with characterizing afd with being far right
The key word is "promising". But in the end, the most valuable sponsor will be worshiped. I wonder why lobbying is considered legalat any point?
Olaf Scholz is like Crackhead here XD he probably one anyways
Don’t blame me - I voted for Kodos.
Speaking as an American that moved to Germany. Deutschland is duck 🦆’ed.
lol! What do you call America then? The bright shining city on the hill?
Afd for the win hopefully give the eu a kick into shape.
AfD will be 25% for sure.
More funding for far left DW news😅😅 for unbiased left journalism 🤫💰
Ever heard of a diverse media landscape?
@@Shaddarhim Funny how only the L wing get state funding then
RT fan eh.
A nutshell means something shortened and laid out to be understandable to the most basics of minds. Not a 37 minute video btw.
If I have to guess… all anti AFD
Matty is in full panic mode today. Is he the Scottish Owen Jones?
😂😂 good one
Hypocrites
Greens should rename themselves as the War Party.
Do the right thing, vote right for free speech and peace.
so the greens?
They can't. Germany isn't a democracy. They can ban their opponents.
That thumbnail is preventing me from watching the video.
How did you manage to write that comment then?
@johnnymcandrew I can comment without watching.
Hiding from problems won't make it go away - that's what we learned in the US with Trump.
Propagandist DW

State run media

AFD may cross 30 %
The traffic light was predicted in Dschinghis Khan - Moskau (Starparade 14.06.1979)
it's right there in the center, and red wears the hat
Shaaaaaaat uppppppppp
Germany needs Weidel.. You all better learn from your past! It's now or never
🚦
FINALLY!!!!! Instead of just complaining about Musk and Trump.
❤💛💚
who u make "Far right or Ultras" next?!😅
didn't even watch the video, already crying about correctly being described as far-right

Trump said he'd end the war in 24 hours, but he didn't say 24 hours in a row 😅😅😅
