Floyd fought Corrales in his early 20s without being a pro for almost a decade, Corrales was a champion and a great boxer. It wasn’t considered too early in Floyd career because Floyd won. Canelo was almost a decade in the pro game and it was early for him to fight Floyd because he lost? What if Manny would’ve beat Floyd, would the fight have been too late? (Even though they were around the same age and Manny won fights after that).
Oscar is cap about telling Canelo not to fight Floyd at the time he was all in on him fighting Floyd. Oscar just mad cause Canelo left Golden Boy and started his own path to be a boss!
Oscar couldn't touch Floyd in that fight period. The only reason it was as close as it was was because Floyd kept it close so that he could secure a rematch. That rematch ended up not happening after the cross-dressing scandal as at that point no one was interested.
Delahoya is remarkable in a class by his self...was too sweet Coley difficult until you found that great body shot...you defeated a very good professional....thank you for your years of performances..Dios con usted....
It would not suprise me if delahoya beat fjr with fsr as coach/ trainer. The relationship delahoya had with sr, the inside information delahoya would have had with fsr AND the psychological advantage delahoya wouldnhave had over fjr knowing fjr would have to see his own father in delahoyas corner. That would be significant advantages there. I'm not saying he'd win for sure! But honestly I think if I was a betting man that day if he did have Sr as trainer I'm putting my money on him.. As far as my research shows, Floyd Sr and delahoya had an almost father son relationship... Yeah that's enuff advatages for me to risk betting against fjr.
Imo, if you're really that great, the trainer shouldn't matter too much, especially after having been in the sport for decades. For the younger fighters, it probably matters, but Oscar was already a fighter with tons of experience, he should know what to do already. Floyd has won fights without a trainer in his corner before back when Roger got suspended after the Judah fight. Pacquiao has won fights with his friend Buboy in his corner instead of Freddie Roach. All these other fighters go blame their trainers after a loss, & then go on to hire a new trainer just to learn nothing new & still lose. Lol
The trainer is important because he sees things watching the fight that you can't see while you in the fight...a good trainer separates good fighters from great fighters....
I no for fact Marco. maidana beat Floyd Mayweather no one can't deny that the ref the judges got pay that night go watch the fight to see what I'm taking about
I wonder what would've happened if Victor Ortiz had a "Chin" during that fight with Mayweather because it actually looked like Ortiz was winning. Oh Well
"I would beat Floyd if this" "I could beat Floyd if that". Oscar handicapped Floyd with weight disadvantages, ring size , gloves (honestly he probably picked Floyd's boxers and diet too). And still lost. Leaving this here for the casuals who take him seriously. 🫡
“Sure sure sure” 😂 Oscar didn’t wanna hear all Floyd’s accolades at the beginning of the video
That’s not true man he gave Floyd his props Shannon was bringing him up a lot go watch the video if you don’t believe me
Oscar never been a hater
@@jetla22 you’re right, he’s canelo’s biggest fan huh
@@chalinonthat’s because canelo started it . Saying he doesn’t pay fighters
Like him or not. Floyd always showed up in shape.
Truth
That because he never got put of shape...
Respect to Oscar for telling it like it was. He's still de la Hoya. He was a beast in his prime.
Oscar ain’t no hater
You must be new
@@TCthaCrisis😂😂😂😂 bro was born this morning.
That's his doppelganger. Hoya is just being mendacious
Great interview. Oscar told the truth about his body breaking down. We all saw it. He gave Floyd his flowers, but he was a beast too

you made great points
If Floyd fought like a brawler you wouldn’t see him in exhibitions now

YEAH RIGHT... 100% 🧢 .. Those people got to takr steroids to beat us
They don't wanna hear that, history showed us all races had to cheat against us 🤬

Why tf would he need Floyd sr to beat floyd jr....He could never beat Floyd period.
I think he just took advantage of the fact Floyd and his Father had a falling out during that time.
Manny , I loved
"The five Kings"
Oscar: "I was assed out" is crazy (PAUSE).
I can tell you’re still in middle school 🤣🤣
@@dejonthedon2513 Right. lol.
I think you need to grow up
Mayweather Mexican hat backwards was a insult to Mexican fans to get under dela Hoya skin
You sure look hurt laying on the ground when Hopkins dropped you!
In all do respect Hopkins was a super middleweight and light heavyweight

The 2nd toughest fight of mayweathers career was against oscar.
Ehh i disagree. Which fight is number one?
I like his honesty
*U HAD THE WEIGHT ADVANTAGE*
*U GOT TO PICK THE GLOVES*
*U GOT TO PICK RING SIZE*
*U GOT PAID MORE*
*AND IT STILL WASN'T ENOUGH*
Mayweather was great but not better than other greats in their prime. Mayweather would have had a tough time with Mosley @ 135lbs for example.
Sure
Sharpe made this whole interview about Floyd 🙄
Who worries about breaking a hand while boxing ?
many boxers do worry and be concern of it
Just don't talk boxing. Leave it to the ppl that know.
Ummm everybody
@@lov4570 it’s not a concern about fighting up though is what I meant. One does not worry about moving up because i might break my hand.
@@TCthaCrisis I do box and I don’t worry about breaking my hand because I’m fighting up. I worry about being too slow but not breaking my hand.

Yes but when you have two great fighters fighting the smallest thing could be the difference. Like having a different trainer
