My 10 year old got his first mountain sled (been riding on his own at 6) and both him and I have learned a ton ( we just need a lot more practice but we're understanding the concepts) I was just trying to explain balance and these videos explain it so well! It's Amazing to learn from the professor and it's great what you do to teach others and advance the sport. Very grateful! We just got 4' of snow in Alaska and I'm itching to keep learning every weekend!
If it's coming over backwards you better lean to one side counter steer and pivot around! The key to prevent this is momentum. When you start to feel the sled lift that is the time to make corrective action without slowing the sled down. Tap the brake just enough to reposition the rider forward and set the sled.
