Sell the sets separately (the 6 burgundy ones, the larger glass buttons) and sell the cards separately too. Or make small lots. Knitters love the larger Bakelite and celluloid buttons. Congrats on taking it easy for a day. We all deserve time to recharge our batteries. Also, there is something very soothing about running your fingers through buttons. I love that sound.
Buttons use to come on those cards. Those buttons on your cards are beautiful!I LOVE BUTTONS! Will send you some pictures of some easy crafts I have done. Gabby can do them and sell at market.
I love buttons! I took a tiny shade that attached to a candelabra stick and glued white buttons all over it. Took me weeks with breaks in between because I was going crazy seeing little white buttons in my dreams! 😂 But it came out beautiful. I'll send a picture when I find it in storage because I just moved. ☮️
Can you please tell us more about how you used to sort buttons for design? That would help a lot! Thanks. Nice voice. Peaceful. Enjoying your channel a lot. Oooohh!! All those buttons on the cards!! Wow!! 😍 We, last of the baby boomers, have to keep these treasures alive one last time. 👍🏼
I love buttons and look for them every time I visit a local flea market here in Germany. I have made a few videos on my little TH-cam channel (in english) when visiting the flea markets if you ever find time I would appreciate your visit. I do like your videos.
the brass spinner game piece is all you need its a put and take spinner each player takes it in turn to spin and puts or takes out of the kitty. good luck.
Hi Dave, Been binge watching your videos. They have a strange and elucidating fascination for me. You should start doing some instructional videos utilizing your encyclopedic knowledge of antiques, scrapping and flea market selling, i am sure they would be very popular and you could boost your subs and advertising revenue as well. A half hour on buttons and I am a specialist too.
The buttons will do well in japan. They r using vintage and antique buttons combined with pieces of kimono 2 incorporate in2 high end fashion. They look really nice 2.
Dave could you show me how distinguished the Bakelite bottoms Or lucite please? Because it’s very difficult to see the deference between them! Thanks for your information. It’s very important to everyone that I think because long time ago I found 1 box and I give very cheaper at flea market 😱.
Like the way you just make the video of whatever you are up to at the time. If it isn't your cup of tea you can just not watch. I myself have found them interesting. 😀😀😀
I have some hooks like the one you showed us. Mine are used in our 160+ house that has a picture hanging rail around the walls (high ceilings). I have a feeling that this is what your hook is.
The brass hook item is for hanging pictures on the larger side fitted over the picture frame that went around the room in Victorian houses here in the UK
Hi Dave Super cool buttons!.You opened my mind to them....keys & metals...& more THANKS . Maybe wrong but.....In the massive disposable world of today what will become of collecting ? My thoughts !! One collection item will be PLASTIC GROCERY BAGS....Hard to find ñow....needed to toss out used cat litter ! ! lol Another could be coffee pods ! They.are messing up oceans & living things in it. Time will tell....what do you think ??
Holy fuck, I bought a storage locker a week ago and there was a bucket full of buttons and I dumped them in the trash. None of them looked old, I think
Hi from Australia, love watching you finding all these treasures and at such great prices . lm learning heaps. I’m curious as to what you do with the keys? Thanks
I know buttons and jewelry aren’t for everyone but I like variety. My girl told me I’m the only guy she knows that can talk about buttons for a half hour + lol. Funny thing is spent the day sorting my girly buttons and got the call and off to the tool clean out I went. Keeps life interesting. I try to make the titles clear so it’s easy to skip if it’s not your thing. Thanks for watching!✌️✌️✌️
I love buttons. I remember digging in my mom's button tin as a child. I need to learn more about them.

That funny smell is usually old celluloid breaking down because of the way they were stored.

The best way to tell if a button is bakelite is to use simacrome polish. If it runs off bright yellow, it's bakelite. Julie
I am in heaven seeing all of your buttons. Where can I buy some of them?
Save for that rainy day Dave.

Neat!
I have 4 boxes of buttons I like to get rid of. Can I send them to you. Belonged to my mother and grandmother.
Why is the postage price so expensive in America? eg. You sell something for around $5 and the postage is $19?
Where is the string you bought last week that I want to buy? Please don't cut it. Let me know. Many thanks. Julie
Still intact. I just listed it on eBay tonight. More going up tomorrow and throughout the week. Appreciate you watching!
