One of the things I looked at for you for Christmas is a book embossed stamp thing that is personalised. Then I thought you wouldn’t like marking your books haha
This box gives me a different mood. For me, aprons are a thing of the past 🙈 Maybe my daughter could use these for watercolor painting. I have a few other stamps that I use for journaling and they are just clear material so maybe I can use that holder for them. When I was a kid I had a sticker book so I could swap with friends at school, but now I would swap that paper and use it as a diary or something like that.🙈 The book looks and sounds interesting and I have to look if the story could catch me.

Hi Michelle, I ordered my copy of this book from Waterstones and the stencilled edge is a repeat of the fish design (three flowing down the edge) and the book is also signed. I didn't look into the book itself past the signed page so I don't know if the black and white version of the map and the heraldry type pictures/descriptions are in it ... but I'll be checking tomorrow. Honestly Goldsboro Books has also released their version of this book with beautiful stencilled edges in a stunning blue/black fish scale pattern top, side and bottom and it's much prettier than the Illumicrate design. I wouldn't have cared much for anything else in this box myself so you're not alone there. The books sounds interesting so we'll see how that goes whenever I get around to reading it. Cheers!!

Im fine with the book, it was one I wanted to read already and I do like this version more than the standard version. I do agree it's not the most amazing exclusive edition though. I'm with you on the other items, I have no use for them. I really do just need to switch to book only.
very glad i skipped this box, a colour change is not what i expect with a exclusive cover advertised, they should just say colour change or varient, after how strong they started last year it will be interesting to see how they go
The only difference (other than the colours) is that they missed off a few words off the cover. I don’t blame you for skipping this one if you’re not interested in the book. I agree it will be interesting to see what they come out with this year 🤔😊
Oh I'm so disappointed in this box, and I haven't even gotten mine. I'm tired of the bookmarks. We got a pop socket a few months back. The apron is hideous. I won't use the stamp. I'm undecided on the ring binder. The book doesn't excite me either. I wish I'd skipped. It will end up; unread; beside Lies We Sing To The Sea and Witch King. Edit: a sticker book? Useless.
It’s so difficult isn’t it; I can see that they’ve tried to do something different with some of the items, but they just haven’t landed for a lot of us. Let’s hope the next one is better for us 🤞🏻😊
I feel like IC is usually so much more cohesive with their theme and items. This all feels very random. I'm glad I skipped and actually just this week decided to cancel because the whole first half of this year they are doing books I don't want to pay a premium for. I'd rather my spot go to someone that is excited for them then keep holding the place and skipping. Hope I don't end up regretting it.
@@saramm3765 you can always buy a copy of a book or item second hand if there is anything that you have massive FOMO over; would also probably be cheaper in the long run. If it doesn’t suit you anymore then I think you made the right decision for you

I agree; when I was editing I was thinking, ‘hummmm those stencilled edges are really nice. Think we were all a little underwhelmed with this one. Hopefully the next will be better 😊🤞🏻

I had skipped this month and so glad I did. The items feel pointless and not very useful. Very niche items tbh, a flop for me this month.
