It’s a very neat ship but I wish that they made a lot of the activities free. Or, at least have certain times when some activities are free. I’d rather pay more at the start in the cruise fare and get to do all the activities free of charge.
i just got off 5/7-14 bermuda cruise. Partial remarks ( or ill probably forget): Main dining has 5-6 same items and a 4-5 new items every night. So thats changed. I didn't see any mdr for lunch on port days.. but i didn't specifically look. ship is smaller than I'm used to, but there really weren't any crazy lines to eat last night 8pm we waited 30 minutes, but usually 0 to 10 min mdr waits. no reservations for mdr (unlike rcl where they encouraged it)) Indulge was good, with different kinds of foods. Buffet was small, but I don't think we ate dinner there What was bad, and I think insulting, is the new secondary venues, Improv and sids. Each room had ~60 seats, and capacity of probably 100-150. out of 3200 guests. There was a fleetwood mac band that i couldn't even stick my head past the door to see. For next 10:30 show there were 200 people lined up at 8:30. So you would be standing for 3 hours. IN RCL there is the music hall , which probably has 4-500 + capacity, and 2 large rooms. I never was not able to see the stage on RCL ship
It rocks, I have stopped watching reviews since I started cruising, I'm a local tour guide in Saint Augustine who is expanding to taking people on cruises to have all the awesome experiences we've had since we started cruising last July This is my 7th cruise since July, first on Norwegian.
Thanks for the review. I'd love to try Prima. I've enjoyed all my cruises on several lines including NCL but the way they nickel and dime is frustrating. There are so many other ships across other lines I haven't tried that it might be hard picking NCL again
Having missed the inaugural trip due to a lack of parts during the build. We have had to wait for this coming week to go to Iceland. With our travel knowledge and experience, the Prima is the only ship we haven't sailed on with NCL. With over 15 years of cruises, we have seen and done our share. Looking forward to the sea days aboard this ship. Being our third trip to Iceland, we want to revisit people and places again.
We have packing cubes, but there weren't many places to actually store the packing cubes. The wire baskets held smaller cubes with undergarments and such, but that's about it.
I love it and love NCL in general because you can use cash for your onboard account or your debit card rather than a credit card.It amazes me how many crew reviews don't mention this fact.I also like the modern contemporary look on the newer NCL ships as well especially the Prima class. I contacted Virgin Voyages Uk contact center and they told me they only accept credit card for the onboard account oh well guess I will never be a customer of virgin voyages I believe Royal Carribean at least allow you to have either a cash account or credit card account. What people forget is credit is exactly that money you don't really have.

“Plenty” is a weird word to use when it’s a couple slides and a buffet, and a disguised buffet. All inclusive resorts are just so much better value than cruising

Great review! I just booked today for this coming January. I got a good deal. I have read and watched both good and poor reviews of this ship, but I like the intimacy of it. Also, I am cruising alone so it will be easy breezy. Are the cabins really not sound proof though? I won't mind paying extra for the adult club pool area. I am excited for my trip and hopefully I meet nice people.

just came back from 7 day Bermuda cruise on Prima, not impressed... Many parts of the ship is reserved for Haven Guests. The restaurants, the Infiniti pools. The food is boring, it's the same menu everyday, and service was just soso. No animal towels unless you pay extra...Breakfast buffett, had to fight for seats, and one day i was eating while standing... can't participate in any good activities because they are booked so fast before we even had a chance... very few shows... and it's deal or no deal is a joke.. they gave away $250 max price while there are hundred in the audience.
Make a bee line to Florida have Biden pay norwegian one months residency on the ship to help out with Florida's resident big boys to the rescue.florida is nothing but boat peole they need help set up a red cross a salvation army. Doctor and sterling so people can call relative put a spot light on top of cruise ship so people will know where to go for help who are in shock .tons of free publicity .help ship supplies as roads are out in Florida.they need a hero.

Yes, the activities are a lot of fun, but you certainly do need to budget extra money for them especially if you are sailing with a family.

Seems like a lot of extra cost, add in off shore activities plus cost of cruise 🥴. We leave Dec 16.

There are plenty of free things to do, but many of the new additions are an up charge.

Yes, they do have a pass. It is around 250 or so for a week per person.
the go cart tracks ruin this gorgeous ship…. and begs to question “ who are they going after with this ship”?
We agree the go kart track detracts from the pool deck and is a bit of an eye sore.

Thanks for watching. One of rooms did have some noise right above the theater. But besides that there wasn’t any issues.
