      At Pepsi warehouse we have wrist scanners. You still say say again bc you’re moving so fast. And for some reason it seems like it tricks the system to thinking you’re moving faster than you are. Percentage averages are like 100-110 on any given day

      The only sections that's separate is freezer and perishable. If you in perishable you get meat, dairy, produce, cooler, flower or banana orders at random. They use to be separate sections and yeah some are easier and that's why they combined them. Some people were making too much time in dairy or flowers. Freezer is separate and on a different shift but standards in there are the highest.

    i work at OK produce as an order selector, but we go by ties. like certain boxes are certain ties and there’s formats you follow like a 5 tie format, 7 tie, Mixed tie format, sometimes i just get discouraged when i cant figure out how to move stuff to make other stuff fit better. the other day i had to get 40 mangos and i had to ask a couple ppl for pointers on how to rearrange

    • @xqeze
      @xqeze  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Is it required that you build a certain way? We have different ties, too. The most common are 5 , 4, and 7, but there are others. It's easier if you build a 5 tie as a 5 or a 7 as a 7. But if I get 4, 5 tie boxes and 1 7 tie. Guess what? That 7 tie box becomes a 5 tie box. If you're aloud, get creative. Sometimes 2 boxes together make 1 5 tie box or a 6 tie. I know that 2 of our mangos equal roughly 1, 5 tie box. Play around with it. I often build like I have all 5 ties even if I don't. What's more important is grouping like height boxes together so you can cross tie over top. Especially on your base. After about 3 to 4 feet, it doesn't matter how it's stacked as much, just as long as your base is solid. But ask around and watch what other pullers are doing. You're not going to reinvent the wheel. There are rules and patterns to follow depending on the boxes, and I guarantee that knowledge is passed between pullers and the best are probably doing similar things and have similar techniques. Sometimes, if I'm behind someone who I know is good. I'll just watch them until I notice them do something I don't normally do. I ask them why they do it that way. If I agree with their logic and I determine it's better than mine, I steal their technique or at least try it out to see if it works for me. I hope that helps.

    • @abelyumad
      @abelyumad ปีที่แล้ว

      @@xqeze yes we have tie formats we go by but a lot of ppl there say just fit it where it fits when it comes to smaller boxes but i do mostly 5, 7, and mixed ties. so for the mix ties it has 5, 6, 7, 8 tie boxes and they can all fit on there. i’ve been getting the hang of it and getting a little faster but still need practice, i have probation for 3 months so i hope i pass

    • @xqeze
      @xqeze  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @Abel You'll be fine. Just focus on technique for now. Once placement becomes instinct, speed will happen on its own for the most part. Just be smooth and practice placing a box once and leave it. Every time you adjust a box, that's one more you could've grabbed. After technique is down, try doing things like grabbing multiple boxes and moving with fewer steps. Think of ways you can shorten time on little things, and it will add up.

Loading goods onto outbound vehicles often involves heavy lifting, repetitive motions, and working in potentially uncomfortable or cramped spaces. This physical strain can lead to fatigue, soreness, and an increased risk of injury, which can make the job challenging and unpleasant over time. Does it matter how much you stack you stack on each pallet I start today

    • @xqeze
      @xqeze  ปีที่แล้ว

      It's measured in cubes. One cube is 1x1x1 box. I think of a pallet in 10 cube layers which is about 1 foot high on the pallet. A full pallet is around 70 cubes. That's about 7 foot tall. I can eye ball it but it should be as tall as the tips of my fingers reach. When starting out usually they don't expect you to build that tall unless you get a 140 cube order. Thats 2 full pallets and if you don't build 70 cube pallets there won't be enough room. When starting you're going to struggle getting 140 cube on 2 pallets because you're probably going to have alot of gaps. If you can't fit everything you will probably have a command you can say to your headset like "done picking" and that will end your order. You will drop off what you have and then finish it on a new pallet. Until you can build good solid pallets don't build too high unless you have too. And if you do stop and wrap each one when they start getting tall or looking sketchy. Otherwise you are likely to spill. Everyone spills though it's not a big deal just pick it up and put in some down time. Hope that helps good luck.

No matter or how long it takes theres a certain amount of product that needs to ship daily. If there's a shortage of worker it takes longer. When staffing is good you might work 8 hrs or less when it's not then 10 to 14hrs. Holidays also effect volume and that will cause you to work more. It's all figured in they say lol. Idk if it's easier. But having 2 pallets gives you more options for spots to put a box. If it's 139 cubes though which is 2 pallet 70 cubes each. Then I like to build 2 solid cross tied bases with heavy stuff first. So I build both pallets at the same time. Some people do one at a time but that usually makes one solid pallet with heavy stuff and one questionable pallet that is near collapse.

    • @xqeze
      @xqeze  ปีที่แล้ว

      I'm not sure. It depends on your warehouse layout. In produce I can easily pull 300+/hour. In freezer I average 245-270/hour. The freezer has more uper pick slots than produce so I have to grab my case hook more often and there's almost no pallet picks. In dairy I may take a full pallet of dairy at once that's 54 cases in 10 seconds. Ask what your fastest and average pullers are averaging and it will give you a good idea where you stand.

      Clap my hands? I say, say again, for the next slot before I'm done with my current slot. Not because i said the wrong check digit. I do this to verify that I heard it correctly before I head for the next slot. I have talkman on max speed, so it wastes no time to have it repeat. It would waste more time if I went to 195, but it actually said 190. It sounds similar at rapid speeds.
