Thank you for this!
Absolutely exciting! Thank you for sharing these impressions!
Merci beaucoup. Très intéressant. Continuez avec des vidéos comme celles-ci. Bravo
This is a great video. More like this, please!
As this wonderfully informative video makes clear, the romantic and symphonic "Hollywood Sound" is a product of European composers - Korngold most significantly.
Best wishes for Vermont 🍁🧡🍁
In the summer of 1986 I did research in the Library of Congress. Isn't it the reading room a spectacular space?!! Glad you had a special tour of its musical score holdings.
How interesting that the German musicians have come to appreciate Korngold in America. The Austrian composer (born in 1897), had already been drawn to Hollywood by Max Reinhardt as Hitler rose to power. In 1936, he won an Oscar for his score to Anthony Adverse. Then in 1938, as Germany annexed Austria, his home there was confiscated by the Nazis. Korngold would later say that his life was saved by Robin Hood. He also received his second Oscar. Europe’s loss was Hollywood’s gain!
Thank you for sharing. Beautiful impressions...🍀☀️🥀
