I remember watching him in the theater at the first Blade movie in 98. The blood rave scene cemented him as a badass, when that guy lands at his feet with that music and all those vampires start backing away in fear…. We all believed he was a badass, we all still do.
Best introduction to a protagonist ever, we are shown these bad af vampires at a blood rave about to frenzy and feed then they shit a brick when they see blade and in that moment it’s like no matter how badass these vampires were blade is just something else.

He DOES care about Blade, he was called 'crazy' during Blade 1 production because he literally stayed in role even for interviews.

Ali WAS PERFECT CHOIC AT THE TIME. They went with an old blade with the full intention of killing him off to then making his daughter the main blade going forward which would have been an outrage to all fans. True story : I attended college in Iowa near a Amish community. One day a young Amish boy about 16 years was riding his horse and carriage by, we talked invited him in and we was watching blade. The blade and frost fight scene was on. He seen it and that it was real he couldn't believe it. BLADE was the first movie he had ever scene. We explained it wasnt real but a movie, then we showed him the behind scenes on the DVD. 3 days later I seen the Amish boy in the missing person add. Come to find out he ran away and went to live life after being introduced to the world through blade...no cap.

I saw D&W the first night it came out and lost my shit when the music changed and I saw Wesley walking all slo mo on camera. It was fucking WILD in our theatre and I can not tell you if I have ever been so ecstatic seeing something as unexpected as Wesley dawning the Daywalker outfit again! No shade to Ali, who is in his own right a fantastic actor who I think could play Blade well, but Wesley is THE BLADE! The guy who started it all at Marvel. @@MichaelImo Snipes already cared that Trinity plot was sub par. Snipes was mad in Trinity that writer he brought in was let go, and all project control was given to Goyer. A guy who gave you incredible "Martha" scene in BvS and guy who tired del Toro during Blade II with his writing. Snipes is very serious and he is very professional. He DOES care about Blade, he was called 'crazy' during Blade 1 production because he literally stayed in role even for interviews.
Is it bad to want both? They can figure it out. Multiverse and all, it can happen.

Beyond that, no mo' Wesley… because I want more Blade appearances than I believe Wesley has in the tank, or is capable of doing to the necessary standard. Ali WAS PERFECT CHOIC AT THE TIME. They went with an old blade with the full intention of killing him off to then making his daughter the main blade going forward which would have been an outrage to all fans.

The blade and frost fight scene was on. He seen it and that it was real he couldn't believe it. BLADE was the first movie he had ever scene. We explained it wasnt real but a movie, then we showed him the behind scenes on the DVD. 3 days later I seen the Amish boy in the missing person add. Come to find out he ran away and went to live life after being introduced to the world through blade...no cap.

While I would not mind Snipes getting a Logan style send off I also want to see Mahershala Ali's Blade. I'm not one who puts everything on Nostalgia. While Snipes was and is an Amazing Blade, I want to see Ali in the role because it means we'll get more Blade down the line. We'll see the franchise continue. There's only so long Snipes can keep doing the role.
They couldn't make reboot for 5 years already though. And Ali is just 12 years younger then Snipes. If they want many many movies, they need way younger actor then Ali for Blade.

I saw D&W the first night it came out and lost my shit when the music changed and I saw Wesley walking all slo mo on camera. It was fucking WILD in our theatre and I can not tell you if I have ever been so ecstatic seeing something as unexpected as Wesley dawning the Daywalker outfit again! No shade to Ali, who is in his own right a fantastic actor who I think could play Blade well, but Wesley is THE BLADE! The guy who started it all at Marvel. A film I saw in 1998 at the theatre and have been a massive fan of day one! Wesley has had a bit of a resurgence and playing Blade again just made that star burn brighter again and I love it!
If Disney and the powers that be can't see just how much we (the fans) want to see Wesley back after all this, they are fucking clueless. I...no scratch that...WE want Wesley back in his own film again! MAKE IT HAPPEN!!!

Marvel Studios are honestly idiots for allowing this cameo. I loved it, but now they made Ali as Blade much harder for people to accept. Also, people make a good point why waste time with Ali old ass? Snipes is also old but he's a better actor, can do his own choreography, knows martial arts, and is still in shape. Might as well stick with Snipes if they have this idea of casting some actor in his 50s for Blade. 😂 Blade slowly ages it's no reason Marvel should he putting some 50 year old actor in a ten year MCU contract knowing the risks around that age. If anything a actor in his 30s should've been playing Blade.

I would love to see Wesley Snipes get a send-off movie, but I dislike how so many actors seem to have the Harrison Ford mentality of "Only I can play this character." It's not good for the art form in the long run. In hindsight, Chadwick Boseman was truly one of a kind.

Hugh Jackman a few yrs younger than Wesley but yet ppl say he can play Wolverine til he 90 but Wesley can't cause he old but yet Hugh Jackman is allowed to crossover to be old in MCU 🤔 . Ali is too old to be starting a franchise over at his current age. All that matters us as fans we want Wesley Snipes as Blade again but don't kill him off 🙏 lets get it!!
