One name to watch is Precious Achiuwa, the unrestricted free agent who filled in admirably as a backup center and power forward for the Knicks this past season. New York chose not to extend a qualifying offer to Achiuwa, which would have made him a restricted free agent but made that decision purely because it was better for the team's cap flexibility. The Knicks are leaving open the possibility of re-signing Achiuwa, a league source said. Were Achiuwa to return, he would play behind Robinson.

I love McBride as JB's back up but we need a young big great player center
I would hate to lose Deuce. I love his dedication to work hard on his weaknesses and grow as a player. But gaining a young Center like Kessler would be a Win Win and give us height and assurance when Mitch gets hurt. I actually think Kessler will take over the Center position. He can also stretch the floor, as he shoots 33% from 3pt and may get even better.

I agree bro. He’s cheap, plays hard and is always ready. If Randle, OG or anyone gets hurt, Deuce goes from 15 min per game to 30 overnight. I feel like we need him but if we get the same type of player in return and a good big man, I guess it’s worth it

I would 1000% trade Deuce for Walker. I just highly doubt Ainge does the trade, even if we added two 2nd rounders. He won’t trade Kessler.

Would be very sad to let Deuce go since he proved his worth and became a NYK this year in his play and buying into the culture, but Walker checks all the boxes in a big man and has history with the Nova guys having played as you mentioned with them on Team USA. I like McBride, but we have proven depth at guard. One more piece to add is the # 58 pick , a center who could be great in a few years. Throw in Burks , and that helps the salary cap. Get Achua too, back up for Randle .

trading deuce would be the dumbest move ever and leon isn't dumb. deuce is a great bench player on a team friendly contract. kessler isn't proven. deuce is. plus now you are asking kolek to take over for deuce and thibs doesn't like rookies. and deuce is the much better defender. find someone else or sign precious. don't deal with ainge. he has to win every trade. leon knows this. fans don't.
