@@Megansrightnip In the series they did not show well who was more powerful at first it seems to be Zelena but when Regina uses light magic she easily defeats her. And then we see that after that Regina, instead of fearing fighting Zelena, wants to do it as a revenge, since she knows that without the amulet she is no longer as powerful, and although the first time Regina fails to use the apprentice's wand and Zelena Yes, after a short time Regina achieves it and unlike Zelena she is not exhausted. Also when the Evil Queen returns (when Regina divides herself to bring out her evil side) in a confrontation she was about to kill Zelena if it weren't for Regina and Zelena was so weakened that she couldn't even heal herself.
@@Megansrightnip where did you get that from? Regina beat her ass with light magic, Her evil queen version knocked Zelena around like a kick ball. Yeah her good version was weaker but dark magic is based on dark emotions so it makes sense.
@@phoenixflames23 all of the magic in it got released back out though so in theory she should still be mega powerful. She even created her own time travel spell, something that even Rumple couldn't do. Plus shes the only character in the whole series who used magic as a BABY. The Black Fairy even said her magic was stronger than Regina's. What I REALLY hated was putting that damn bracelet on her for so many episodes smh.
I hate how OUAT made Regina's magic so weak compared to Zelena's. Regina cast a curse that transported residents of the enchanted forest to modern Maine, created a whole new reality and new town for them, and erased their memories of their previous lives. She could also cause small earthquakes with her magic, and perform numerous other magical feats. Yet they made Regina so helpless when fighting Zelena magically. However, I do recall that it was indicated that Zelena's pendant augmented her magical powers.
I say the same thing.. they made her wayyyy to weak! And there were moments when they wanted to remind the audience of how strong she was back in her evil reign but only to get tossed around.. I hated it
Well it it’s been stated regina was stronger than zelena but zelenas pendent made her immune to dark magic so Regina wasn’t weak her magic just didn’t work on her but when Regina used light magic on her it defeated her but Regina was definitely down played in the later seasons

But the curse isn't inherently Regina's magical feat, anyone can cast the curse, Snow did it too. The thing is that Regina wasn't born with magic, Rumple taught her, she was a hard working student, Zelena on the other hand was already born with the gift of magic (and a very powerful one btw), so while Regina was focusing (and struggling) on learning the basics of magic, it was all already natural for Zelena
