Crosscode, one of the only games to have 3 final bosses in the same run and have them all make sense. The final boss of the main story The final boss of the game And the final boss of the extended story.
true, you could consider that, I will admit though, that my original comment was over a year ago, and had I wrote it now I would have worded it better. I personally consider the final boss of the main story the last boss of Lea's character arc, being Gautham, or The Ultimate Experience. -The Final boss of the game meaning the final boss of the in-game mmorpg the world is set in, being D'Orbis in this case to me. -And the Final boss of the extended story, being the Last boss in the "A New Home" DLC, being Sidwell, or at least a construct using his skin and a heck of a lot of defense. Sorry if my earlier comment seemed rude. I really shouldn't try responding to comments at 5 in the morning when I've been laying in bed for an hour scrolling through videos.
Beat this boss last night, what a ride it was. I didn't expect Radical Fish to outdo themselves after the Ultimate Experience, but this fight and music certainly stepped up to the challenge.
And to think of all bosses, this one just has to be ALL of the space birds. Emilie even wondered if we'd fight them. And here we are, fighting all of them in a single boss fight.
I admit I felt a bit disappointed upon completing Sapphire Ridge and all we got to fight was the samurai boss (I suppose Shizuka is technically the boss of Sapphire Ridge). So when I learned in the DLC that the final dungeon was open I got very excited. Appropriate that it was also the longest dungeon in the game. And at the end of it all, you finally meet the final boss of Operation Trackwalker. This fight DID NOT DISAPPOINT. For me it was the toughest fight in the game. Even though Sidwell is the true final boss, he is easy by comparison. This fight tested my endurance, patience (especially with the amount of times I died on Phase 2), made me literally go back and grind for more of the end-game gear. What a great final boss. Radical Fish blew this out of the water, complimented by an incredible song that evokes so much emotion. It feels like this is the fight all your battles have built you up to. To finally win against this boss was so damn rewarding.
G'oni represents the Hexacasts. Di'aro represents the Cuadroguards. Di'orbis represents the Spheromancers. E'nel represents the Tribladers. K'win represents the Pentafists. I realized that G'oni has the main weapon from the Hexacasts, a Deck of Cards. E'nel has a Sword, the main Weapon of Tribladers. and K'win uses her fists just like the Pentafists. But i think that Di'aro has a Hammer to demonstrate the Brute Force of the Cuadroguards.
Gotta reread that lore (about the Ancients) once more, before I complete the main game. When I eventually get this far, I shall thoroughly savour this battle.
Their most powerful attacks generally reflect their associated shapes. G'oni boxes you in a hexagonal cage Di'aro makes a + sign of icicles which spawn an additional column and row for a rectangular box E'nel thrusts at an angle and then spawns an additional horizontal line of flame before completing the triangle with another line on the opposite diagonal as the initial attack I don't have anything for K'win sadly and there are a few circular attacks between phases that could be associated with Di'orbis.
It's kind of weird that the icy guy who represents the high defense quadroguards is easily the weakest one of them. He literally dies in one flame thrust
@@UninterestingPerson Heat is associated with your ATK stat, which means you've probably gone beyond that 999 stat number to break through the defense (Also all the gods have the same stats so that makes it funnier)
It's a bit strange that the player classes sometimes have different colours than the gods they represent. Spheromancers: Grey *Tribladers: Green* Quadroguards: Blue *Pentafists: Orange* *Hexacasts: Purple*
this boss was, indeed, the hardest for me to face out of every single other boss. Took me about 5 hours total and probably over 100 attempts to beat it, and man was it worth it. Amazing song as well
I went 80 hours or so playing this game, and only during this boss did I have to force myself to realize I need to switch to an attacker's element to have the most defense against it.
This came up on autoplay after I was listening to some One Step From Eden. It’s got that same feel to it. Some parts even remind me of Violette or Saffron. Maybe I’ll check out the game just because of this.
A cool note for those talking about how hard this fight is: During the last two phases, you can almost break one of the gods before they even spawn if your reaction time is quick enough. The one immediately to D'orbis's left will always spawn first, so you can watch for it, swap to the opposing element, and smash it while the others spawn. You can do this somewhat during the first two phases, but it is much harder. One attempt, I even managed to break and kill one before the phase started. Also, it's very possible I had a different experience than others with my fight. A full focus build led to me always having enough sp to oneshot each of the lesser guys with a level three art as soon as they broke (except the electric one... My damage with wave is kinda trash except for wave motion gun, and they teleport out before you reach the damage of that, so I always just avoided targeting them).
I was doing something similiar, but for me usually level 2 or a bunch of level 3 Arts is enough. I have lots of Attack and Focus, so a single level 2 Ranged Shock Art is enough to both break and one-shot G'oni (The Hexagon-Wave guy)
This boss NEEDS preperation, I learned that on my 2nd attempt at playing the game, my first attempt ended from failing to blow up fleazers while having rookie armor
The funny shit here is that I did to much preparation after being beated by this boss dozens of times. I crafted the best defensive and HP regen equipments I was able to found and when it was time to fight the boss again, it wasn't able to do much enough damages to bypass my HP regen. I was literally invincible, lmao. But it still took me too much time to beat it.😂
All I have to say is wow, this was such a great theme to compliment an amazing final boss fight (not counting of course the boss you fight in the final dungeon afterwards, plus it's way easier). This fight tests your endurance, patience and your knowledge of your circuits. Very fitting, especially after all the trials you as the player have experienced. The stage for this is gorgeous and although I died a bucket load, I persisted and eventually won. This is the HARDEST fight in the game (outside of the Superboss), as it should be and the music assures you of this. It makes you feel like this is the last trial and last fight and it's amazing.
I was afraid first when I heard that Deniz was not the composer for the DLC, but... After hearing all of your tracks in game, what I have to say is : good job, seriously. It's simply excellent, and fits really well the game, and especially this music, it fits so much the fight, it has this epic vibe in it. I hope to see you again composing music for other games :).
Seconded unfortunately I'm not familiar with much else of their work one step from Eden is a amazing soundtrack and has an unlockable Lea skin for saffron
That frigging final boss was what led MOST of my consumables to be, well, consumed. These elemental gods(which seem to represent CrossWorlds' classes, I think?) are pretty cool tho.
You are correct, if you ever entered one of the guild halls near where your guild house is, there is a heap of lore you can look at regarding each class and what deity represents them. The main deity represents Shizuka/you in terms of your class.

Gah this boss!! Still trying my best here... Despite having a very distinct ‘texture’ from Deniz’s work, it nonetheless fits the tone of Crosscode superbly. Fantastic work here.
It's a pretty unfaire boss, you must exploite your boost up attaks at the right time to place decent amount of damage to the boss and then keep up the elemental shift. The rest is a game of endurance and how long can you keep dodging/blocking incoming attacks before countering right after it. You don't get much time to do so.
