I also wish he was able to get at least 1 Stanley Cup :(

League average goaltending this year is below .900 Price was pushing .930 on a regular basis with career stat of .917. He also could play 60 games a season while most tenders today can't do those heavy loads anymore he was a beast on poor teams that he elevated. If he played for the 70s Habs they run the table likely winning possible 6/7 Cups in a row he was better than Dryden.

He's already out with an injury. What he did best.

Sadly he didn't even had the chance to get half of the talent the habs have today in front of him. Give him that 2025 team in his 2014 to 2021 run and we would have not only one but at least two Stanley cup for sure.

When push came to shove, Price would always play worse than the opposing goaltender, that is why he has a losing playoff record.
Here's some cold water splashed across your face to wake you up to reality.....if Price was so great in the 2020-21 playoffs why didn't he get a single vote for the Conn Symthe trophy?
In 2009-10 it was Halak who drove the Montreal team past the Pens & Caps.....not Price, who stank when put into the net.

@ 😂 let me cry… to win a Conn Smythe in the loosing team you at least need to get to the big final.
Look at all playoffs game lost scoring he has, Price or even god can’t win if your team don’t give you more than a single goal idiot.

@@SteeveSpeed Well when Price's salary is the highest on the team, mgmt can't afford to hire any goal scorers.

I think that Carey will one day regret not having had the revision surgery to correct the knee problem. I understand his fear and frustration at the fact that the first operation wasn't completely successful, but that is not at all uncommon in orthopedic procedures. When he gets a little older, I think he will wish that he had gone ahead and had the knee fixed and he could have been a part of what looks like a very special time in team history.

Dobes starting to look like a Price/Dryden clone if you watch him play. Still early but already 4-0 against all top teams. I notice he over defends his crease at times as he over slides and teams will figure this out so he needs to clean that up but he squares off to the shooters well and he has a good glove hand and like Price a good puck handler as well. I was expecting our future to be Jacob Fowler but Dobes has risen up the Habs chart real fast maybe this is our future nets a combo of Dobes/Fowler.

We don't have room in the Salary Cap to remove Price from LTIR, but he his still under contract and could play.
I wonder if we make the playoffs, he'd be interested, but I doubt it.

Sorry Montreal doesn't need a washed up goaltender. This is a new management....one who wants to win.
Price was the only weak leak in the Stanley Cup Finals. All the rest of the team left it all out on the ice outplaying TB in 3 of the 5 games in that series. Price couldn't stop a beach ball.

I am happy Price is gone, now the organization can turn the page and start winning again without making excuses for an over-hyped goaltender.

Carey Price was an overpaid drama queen who'd take 3 months off for a sprained pinky finger, and surprisingly everyone would support him. I'm glad he's gone but I'm pissed they're still paying him.

They aren't LTIR means he's paid by the insurance. It is the same as you having a workplace injury that means you can't work anymore.
