I have the First Appearance Two-Pack, and for what it's worth you can "force" (without breaking) the feet fully upward, and mine stands well enough now. But yes, I feel your pain!

Right… I still am gonna eventually try to heat the ankles so they can be much softer. Guess Bruce just can’t stand that’s why he turns into the hulk
