The hands-free tailgate works better if you just simply kick your foot underneath the sensor on the left side of the back bumper (straight down from the first 'V' in Volvo) - no swiping, waving your foot around, etc. Kick your foot under, step back (it gives you a beat to do this), and you'll hear the beep of the trunk opening. It works this way to close it also. We get a lot of complaints that it doesn't work when you swipe your foot under, and a lot of people can't get it to work, but it's because they're not doing it right!!
Oh, the infotainment screen... we (where I work) had two - yes, TWO - Volvo S60s lose their entire screens within a couple of weeks of each other. I want to post what the mechanic had to say about it, but I want to avoid ending up in TH-cam jail with Isaac as the lead prosecutor! I haven't heard that much cursing since my wife passed away, and the things he said would've made her recoil in fear. Other than those anomalies that sent the cars back to the dealership, I got quite the kick out of driving the S60 for a brief, shining moment and was a hero to the coworkers who couldn't figure out how to open and close the sunroof/shade.
@CarConfections dang! I’m headed out there, was hoping to meet you guys in person. Well someday we’ll have to make that work! A well WELL deserved vacation for you guys!
I have scanning headlights on my 2005 Lexus RX 300 and they work! Lexus had this on their cars way before then They also had radar cruise control way back in the day a lot this stuff is quite old tech nowadays. I can stow my privacy blind from the trunk in with the spare wheel out of the way I have rear dipping mirrors when reversing I can close and open all windows and the sunroof all at the same time using my key fob My rear seats recline and slide backwards and forwards I have no transmission tunnel in the rear compartment so takes three in the back seat very comfortably Curtesy lights front and rear Illuminated vanity mirrors in both sun visors, both sun visors slide Front and rear ventilation dual mode and auto function Air con Illuminated velvet lined glove box with damping soft close It goes on… that was back in 2005 Why am I watching this video, because I’m looking for a worthy car to replace my RX300, this Volvo getting there, so a 2004 car nearly as good on spec? lol seriously though I do like this Volvo and a bit more exciting than current line up from Lexus.
Come to think of it, Volvo was (I think, not 100% sure) the world first car maker to offered the 3 point seatbelt! By the way, does this model comes with the HUD as an option?
Excellent review. I feel like a camera in the rear view mirror may detract from safety (Volvo’s ultimate goal). Personally, I’m not a fan of relying on a camera view and do look behind me/use my mirror when backing up.
Love: design, soft materials, steering wheel, sound system, quietness and refinment of 4cyl, gearbox and automatic part/handbrake. Not a fan of: digital instruments, climate control and system in general, understeer, headlights and all the tech fall bit short of German competitors.
Okay call me stupid. But what exactly is the difference between a sun roof and a moon roof? I used to think maybe a sun roof opens and a moon roof doesn't. But that's not it because you call this one a moon roof.
As far as I understand it, you’re sort of right! The sunroof opens in the front, but because it’s a large glass piece that is stationary, it automatically becomes a moonroof.
I like that you talk slowly. That’s a differentiator for you! lol
Thank you! I used to talk very fast 😂 I’m learning
Love the cabin overview in this one- feeling enveloped in Swedish luxury! Great video!

Thank you! I can now use this feature successfully (not sarcastic, being dead serious).
Thank you.

Haha you wouldn’t end up in TH-cam jail with me lol I’m very lenient 😂 thank you for sharing Garrett.
Those wheels 😍 Great review!
Thanks! Are you guys gonna be at NYIAS?
@@AlphaShark not this year unfortunately... but for good reason since we're going on our first vacation in 3 years 👐

After 4 months with the car, some of the instructions just fell out my brain.
Very nicely, thoroughly explained. thanks.
How is the 22 inch wheels with the comfort difference with 21 or 22 inch wheels?

I can close and open all windows and the sunroof all at the same time using my key fob
My rear seats recline and slide backwards and forwards
I have no transmission tunnel in the rear compartment so takes three in the back seat very comfortably
Curtesy lights front and rear
Illuminated vanity mirrors in both sun visors, both sun visors slide
Front and rear ventilation dual mode and auto function
Air con
Illuminated velvet lined glove box with damping soft close
It goes on… that was back in 2005

HUD is an option, yes.
Volvo’s are great and safe cars. Great review of the Volvo. Be blessed and remain encouraged. Psalm 34:1-3
Great review. Very professional!
Thank you!

I don’t use the cameras a lot when I have them, but I do feel like they can be useful.
On my third xc60 2014 2019 and2023
the tumbnail tricked me that they have updated the design

A sunroof used to be a steel panel that moves. A moonroof is a glass panel. Everything on the market today is a moonroof.
Will the lord have to bless a lot for reliability issues? Or are they better since they got away from Ford?
They’re very reliable
For this money, in 2024, not having wireless android auto or apply carplay is shocking.
It has CarPlay
Im tired of Lexus reliability and want other manufacturers to come out with reliable models
May the grace of our LORD JESUS be with you always. Amen.
Brother I am not getting job in canada please pray that god provide me that

Jesus Christ, you had me listening until your religious crap started. I will skip past Alpha…. from now on.
