Appreciate the focus on NH this week. Our small state has so much recreational activities to offer and it is rarely presented in such a beautiful way as you have done in this episode.
The Road Rally was a very unique idea - totally love it. I was having fun watching all the places it took you to. I was fascinated with all the murals and the artistry involved creating them. Then, wowsers, you all got to be a part of something people will see for years to come by them generously allowing you to pick up a brush and add a few paint strokes to it. How cool was that?
It was amazing! The artist was so kind to let us participate. And I gotta tell you the camera did not do justice to the murals especially after learning the history behind them.
Love this video :-). And those murals are AMAZING !! I'm glad you included them in the video because words just can't describe how beautiful they are. Glad your ankle is feeling better
Wow, I haven't done a road rally in 40+ years. We use to have a combination of time and millage. I carry a small first aid kit with an Ace bandage in it while hiking. I've had to replace it a couple time because I gave it to someone who needed it. The arthritis has ended my hiking days.
How fun just like the Escape rooms....LOL! Escape rooms would be alittle more intense but this game with the sights are amazing! Awesome Hike too! And the Art also! Thanks for sharing as usual!
Old time billboards were painted right on the walls of buildings. My granddad was a 'wall dog' as they were called. I helped paint the old school wooden billboards when I was a kid. Nice work.
Great video! Loved the murals. Wow! So glad you mentioned RVillage because we have made quite a few friends through it AND we track each other’s locations. It helps us plan our travels to be able to meet up.
Was surprised to see your first stop was the Carlton Covered bridge just down the street from our house! Thanks for the coverage of the Wall Dogs murals in Keene and your nice moderate hike up Monadnock. We are quite proud of our little corner of NH.
I actually broke my ankle in late April while hiking in Bisti Badlands, NM. I had to walk 5 miles out. Had to cancel our summer plans and stay in one place for treatment. Wore a cast for a while, walking boot for a while then graduated to hiking boots with bandages and have just now been wearing normal shoes for a couple of weeks. Dr said it will always be swollen now. It is still very weak and painful. I hope you heal quickly and can get back out hiking!
I broke my ankle two years ago now and can still tell when it’s going to rain from the stiffness and pain. I’m only 21, stay strong friend it will get better ❤️
Glad your ankle is better. Enjoyed this video as always!! Murals are so BEAUTIFUL!!! Hope you 2 had a GREAT 4th...!!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY AMERICA!!!! Wish I could afford the shirts.. LOVES/HUGS!!!!
Well, shame on me. I had skipped watching this one, but after your comments on FB, I came back & watched. This was much different than I was thinking and certainly is one of your best.
I have never seen a rally like this. It looks like so much fun. They really did a lot of work in putting this together. I love murals and it is so cool that you were able to be there to participate and watch them come to life. I am way behind on watching videos so I missed out on getting to order a shirt. I hope your ankle is better.
Wish I could have had a meet up with you, you were so close to me in Vermont, I love your videos and think you are a great couple/ influence...great video !!!
We will be up near that area in September at Sturbridge, MA. Hope to do some day trips around the area. The murals are beautiful and hope to get some great photos of covered bridges while up in that area as well. Hope to meet you all personally on the road! Safe travels, Joe & Dottie
You guys, what a great job capturing the fun of our very first Escapees Hangout! Now I see how you managed to complete the Road Rally in LESS than the minimum mileage! You had us rolling with laughter during that part of the video, too. :o) And thanks for the kind words.
FIRST and foremost Take it EASY Stacie and Angie! Glad it wasn't worse for either of you! Just take it easy so you both heal fully and hopefully quickly. What was the grand prize? I assume you won at 8.1 miles. You are so lucky to be there to see these murals from start to finish. Your timing was perfect to be there at the same time they did these, to be able to see that from start to finish must have been SO cool. Great, scenic on many levels, video. Jayman...
Have you heard of people who use " Air Tabs"? I've read it helps with control and gas mileage. Seriously thinking of putting them on. Figured I would ask " Professor Phil" first. Thanks
Loved seeing all of those beautiful murals! The road rally looked like a lot of fun - thanks for sharing your adventures and Stacy, sure hope your ankle is feeling better! Hugs from the north GA mountains! xo
Another great video! I was just thinking I needed a You, Me and the RV fix and there it was! I loved the game and look forward to find things like that when we hit the road. The murals are awesome! I'm part of an art community and the artists are always volunteering to do projects like this. Thanks for sharing all this fun for those of us still stuck in the sticks and bricks.
@@todayissomeday seen the movie and we have "Reflections of Masison Ccounty A Visual Journey " by Mark Heffron. Steve has read the book and says its better than the movie. We have to go do it again - our laptop with all our pucs was stolen we now put everything in the cloud. It was a great adventure.
Welcome to New Hampshire! I hope you visit the Lakes Region and White Mountains sometime, there's so much to do here! Bravo to you both for climbing Mt. Monadnock, not an easy climb at all! Just started following you guys a few months ago and I love your videos.
If you enjoy murals, you should check out Lake Placid Fl next time you are down this way. They also are the caladium capital of the U.S.A. Also they have a FREE clown museum.
Mt Monadnock is one of the most climb mountains in the world and one of the easiest but I believe you chose the hardest on the mountain but hay you got to feel like a rock climber for a bit. Lots of people hike in trailblazer like sneakers and I am a firm believer Hightop hiking boots so that you have ankle support. I also have seen just about every covered bridge threw out New England but it's my back yard.
ROFL! OMG, I can just see Phill cutting corners and parking a mile away from the geo-location to cut down on mileage. hahahahaah!!! I love that you got lost finding the exercise'a-ma-place thingy do first thing that day. 😜
that looked like fun where do you see stuff like this? do you have to be a member?would love to do something like that.pretty cool . I sprained my knee hiking in the Poconos still hurting till this day so becarefull going down steps near a waterfall totally fell and twisted my knee.Ok thanks for sharing safe travels
This was set up by Escapees Hang Out. Yes, you have to be a member of Escapees to attend. This location was chosen because of the Walldogs. We stayed at a local fair ground. To attend any of the rallies you have to be a member of the group.
Did you take the white dot trail because it looked the shortest way to the top? If you did, now you know why it's the shortest 🥵. It's been 20 years and we still talk about that trail
Phil & Stacy, my wife and I are a retired USMC family and we are going full time and are looking for a toad. We like your Jeep, can you tell us the model and transfer case type so that it can be flat towed or is it front wheel drive only ? Thanks for the information and safe travels.
So Phil likes older women does he? I hear ya buddy. Always had a thing for Sophia Loren when I was 16 or so. But why does Stacy look 10 years younger than Phil?? Anyway, where did you guys place in the road rally? It didn't sound like you came in first. And the murals were great? Keep those videos coming guys.
Johnny Lightning lol!! Stacy is older than me...true statement! 😀. We did place first....we had a corny team name so it didn’t sound like us. The course was 60.2 miles in length...we came in at 58.2...stopping short of the destinations and cutting corners did help.
You’re in my old stomping grounds! The bridge you visited in Vermont is the Creamery Bridge, until last year I lived about a half mile from it and have been to the places you visited. Spent a lot of time at Whetstone and Keene is a great small city. Fun fact the original Jumanji was filmed in Keene. Where did you stay?

If you're ever back through, the secret is to go up the West slope. A lot less scaling.
Great episode! The scavenger hunt/race looked like a lot of fun. Stacy, hope your ankle is feeling better.
Thanks! I hope so too. 😉

Great idea for a rally. Thanks for sharing your travels very inspiring. Who are the guys with you?
Al and Angie from Life Beyond the Burbs. You can find them on fb and ig
Great video! Have you guys looked into Geocaching.com to add to your adventures?
12 ounce curls only give strong wrists 😂
Well at least we have that going for us! lol
Just notice that you have noodles on your windshield wipers. What is the reason for that?
Helps keep the direct sun off of them...they dry and crack fast!

We have a 2019 Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk and yes it can be flat towed (PTU2).
Not sure if you said what city you painted the murals. Where was it?
Tony Wilson Keene, NH. Very nice town.

You guys going to Minot in Aug for FMCA’s 100th?
No, we aren't scheduled for that one.
Wife and I really enjoy your videos....., but I gotta ask....what’s up with the noodles on the wipers?
Protects it from the sun, prevents break down
That’s what I thought. Deb pointed them out. Have fun.
What’s up with the noodles on the windshield wipers???
Just keeps the sun from baking and cracking the wipers
You, Me & the RV nice!
So how many miles did your group have?
We ended up with 58.2
I hope you were able to get to a nurse with your sprained ankle! Oh wait.....silly question. 😉
:)
Please check that lump in your neck 😳🤔
Following it routinely. Thanks
