旧野崎家住宅は、倉敷市児島にある江戸時代末期から近代にかけて建てられた豪邸で、ジーンズストリートにも面する約3,000坪の敷地を誇ります。格式高い武家屋敷のような長屋門や、主屋、土蔵など国指定重要文化財に指定された10以上の建造物があり、庭園には3つの茶室が点在。岡山県内でも知る人ぞ知る隠れた名庭園として、その美しさが訪れる人々を魅了します。
江戸時代の大庄屋として繁栄した野崎家の歴史と、庭園の細部に込められた風雅な造形美を動画でお楽しみください。広大な敷地内を散策しながら、苔むした露地庭、枯山水庭園、そして築山からの眺めなど、風情あふれる景色を感じていただけることでしょう。
また、庭園内にある茶室「観曙亭」「臨池亭」「容膝亭」は、当時の茶道の伝統を今に伝える空間で、速水流家元の指導のもと設計されました。歴史的建造物とともに、野崎家の製塩業に関する歴史も学ぶことができます。

Description Proposal
The Kyū Nozaki House is a historic mansion in Kojima, Kurashiki, built from the late Edo period to the modern era, boasting a spacious 3,000-tsubo (about 9,900 square meters) estate along the famous Kojima Jeans Street. With a high-class gate resembling a samurai residence, over 10 buildings designated as Important Cultural Properties, including the main house and storehouses, and three distinct tea houses scattered throughout the gardens, this site is a hidden gem among Okayama's renowned gardens, captivating visitors with its timeless beauty.
Experience the elegance of the Nozaki family, who prospered as a wealthy landowner during the Edo period, and enjoy the intricate beauty of the gardens in this video. As you explore the vast grounds, you will encounter moss-covered tea gardens, a karesansui (dry landscape) garden, and the scenic views from the hill. Each space is carefully designed to evoke a sense of history and tradition.
Within the gardens, you'll find three tea houses: Kanjotei, Rinshitei, and Yokoshitsutei, which embody the spirit of tea ceremony traditions. These were designed under the guidance of the Hayami-ryu tea school. Along with the historic buildings, visitors can also learn about the Nozaki family's history in the salt-making industry.
