Great video. A good visual cue on when to place decimus and baron for the rollie pollies, is when he does the earthquake smash, he smashes one arm, then the second arm, and then both. When hes about to smash with both start to place your decimus so it slows everything down and when he smashes the ground he creates a "spark" but thats the visual cue to fully drop him.

Worked for me. I had been neglecting progress on gear raid 2, caring more about trying to push 3-20. Cleared 2-20 and 2-21 with a few attempts. I didn't think my vortex was tanky enough but you listing out your stats was very helpful. Thanks a bunch!

Man, thank you so much for posting this video today. I used similar tactics a week ago to beat 19/20, but my Vortex died so quickly at 21 that I decided that it is just way too early for me. I wanted to farm better gear for him and didn't even attempt 21 this week. I haven't finished the video, but seeing your Khamet and Vortex made me realize that my own heroes are just at more or less the same level. I just gave Vortex a bit more HP and cleared 21 in 15 minutes. ( I spent hours at 19/20 so my timings are good lol) I would add, that one can use a third tank instead of Dalyn and there is enough cost. The difference in placements is minimal. 1) To use Baron/Regulus/Brokkir for the first rolling golems and finish them with Demiscus. 2) On the second wave of rolling golems to use Baron and Demiscus first and then finish the mobs with the remaining two tanks. 3) The last wave Baron and Demiscus and finish them with Dagna and Volka. It gives enough time for the main tank to be back for the boss.
Also we need to petition MaBucket to give Khamet S score for GR2. There are just couple of damage dealers in the whole game who can carry through GR2-19/21

Great video😁 just a couple of (small) things that might make it a bit more efficient for cost generation if you use narvi, in the initial phase if you place the tank lower and narvi on the same side she would get ulti faster (as she hits mobs as well). And on the last part if you place place dolores where khamet is volka would also get the buff😁
But it isn’t a rush to get the ult. Dalyn generate the cost in time so she is the better choice since she generates more. Also Dalyn generates cost from her auto passive not her ultimate. But as I say in the vid of course narvi works.

Tried the dolores + dps strategy with hattsut, hattsut + maul for a hundred times before I realized Khamet can actually do it, got it on the 10th run or so. Thanks
This strat with laurel and dalyn literally got me the clear for stage 20 in like 15mins. Confident I can do 21 with some gear swapping. Great guide my man
it's 5.13 am i finally beat gr 2 - 21 , thanks a lot man u are the best ! ❤🙏 (the run took me around 18 mins ) Used the same comp than u exept Isolde as leader instead of Dagna, and Brokkir instead of Regulus ! Also my dolores was only awaken 1 around 10100 atk total !
Amazing video, love watching late game videos like this. It's crazy how every guide video involves picking up the heros and placing them back down. I wonder if the devs expected this and is there a way to keep all the heros placed and have them survive.
just a little tip: you can put decimus (or any other hero in that case down) and leave them in the "direction" screen, while the unit is in there, the time slows down to pretty much slowmotion and the unit does not count as being placed yet. You'll be able to turn the unit and hold out for the animation you're looking for, without much stress :)

Thanks for the video! I just used the strategy and beat stage 21. The hardest part was getting my Vortex build right, I couldn't quite pull off the same combo of HP/healing effect/attack speed that Fasti used. I wound up with 40.4k HP, 1.5k defense (not sure if defense impacts the bolts that hit him?), 312 attack speed/1.6 attack interval (had to go with attack speed amulet), 56 healing effect. I tried various HP% or healing effect amulets and couldn't get it done, only the attack speed one worked. I also had to get him to A2, mine was only A1 and it wasn't cutting it! Arti was +10 Elysian Epitaph Also I used Isolde as one of my tanks, I think the lord bonus was required to me. I also had to put Vortex down next to Isolde and Vortex, I needed Isolde's ult (from Laurel pumping it) during the 14-20 wave in order for Vortex to survive. It was really tight for Vortex.
This video just helped me beat GR2-20 and 21. Great call on the Silas, mine was such a beast in this. I thought I had to wait for Khamet to use this strat and get it cleared. Nope!
Thank you for the guide, this enabled me to beat 21 :). I noticed Arrogance didn't place burn in your auto run. He didn't with me as well and then I read the skill description again. He needs to be further than one tile away so I now put him on the right of Khamet. He places burn from there.
I just cleared this stage thanks to you my man. i thought it would be imposible without dolores, but Autumm seems just fine. Also, the end Decimus strat... well some of us told you, but you can take credit if you want ^^
In the end, when you set down decimus, it is enough to let him get hit once, then call him back (if your tank is already ready to go), no need to wait out the passive. It will trigger his rage like that too. It only does not trigger, when he is not stoped at least once on his way to the crystal ... shaves off a few seconds of the auto run. ^^ Got under 4min like this. Hatssut is a beast (not just for this), mine did it without Dolores and no Laurel (since her Ult is up right away anyway) on the first unlock.
@@fastidious_gg yeah, especially on the first unlock and farm setup. I just got bored enough to optimise the times of my farm teams and got into trying when to recall Decimus to shave of those last few seconds. They add up when you do hundreds of runs for sure.
Great video as usual man. Just a side note, a well built Vierna does not need Dolores for this fight. Her increased damage and execute with her ultimate make it much easier without the boost from Dolores.
Tip on 2nd shreck (10/27) u dont need to time the decimus deployment, he will tank anyway, u need only time the remove thing for cost, thats because u don't start be hit by earthquake on that moment, like on 3rd shreck
One thing that would help your run is when you place laurel you can place her to on the square to the right of where you had her and face her towards Dolores and Khamet, this will make it so it will always go to Dolores or Khamet during the boss but make it 2/3 instead of 2/4 when you have two tanks out
no you can't, he is mainly using laurel for her drop and replace mechanic so that dolores and khamet have their ults up. she only helps rage regen on people who are adjacent to her, so if he were to put her on the right side to ensure khamet or dolores only gets it, then he would lose out on the rage regen from taking her off. Yes he would make sure that one of them would get the invig bonus, but it wouldnt help get their rage regen quicker which is more important.
Nice to see you do it with khamet, him and vierna have the tightest timing here. The cost save mounts up quick. Tank wise I prefer Olague and Isolde over running Regulus. The northern lords self shield on deployment is so useful aswell. It would be interesting to see what a top geared a5 Idryl would do here. If your healer survives but he doesn't heal enough, you can always adjust relics. I had the 'shields when heals to full' on vortex, stacking shields is op. A1 volka is part of the reason I think they designed 2.21 around specific mechanics. The respawn timer with her is perfect and the 200% damage to all placed units forces you to pick up. You could just about tank the shriek on 2-20. There is no chance here.
Clever strategy with the shielding artifact. And I think you are spot on about Volka A1. Seems intentional. Like they were letting us a get an "easy" stage 21 clear to help with progression
its kind of nice really, they basically give you the pieces with volka and decimus and go 'now you put it together' and it feels so satisfying when you crack the puzzle.
Fun fact abour GR2. On the last faze when the boss comes down, you can place decimus to buy yourself some time and make the boss turn red. And when he does so you despawn desimus and immediately put a platform hero. That seems to comfuse the game. The boss stays in red mode, freezes in place and is unable to do anything. Seems like a bug and I don't know if it happens for everyone, but it happened to me and it's like that even in auto 😁

I managed to use the same strategy with Setram with inspiration from this and Ronaldo's DPS - however only 2-19, the highest stats required for the higher lvls ofc. 11:20 the cost sets are often spoken of for Narvi, Dalyn and I believe there is a third option? How about the artifact "Lucky Legacy", isn't it exactly meant for these chars? Would you mind doing an in-depth guide on the cost units down the line; when to pick who, and when they break even? It would help a lot to know their nuances for fast cost vs sustained cost or other uses.
The choice is always Dalyn or narvi imo. If u have more time and her auto Rebel skilled, Dalyn is the best. As for lucky coin, that is the artifact to use but it’s base trigger is only 1/20 so I don’t even bother mentioning it. Too much rng
I did not go and beat 2-21 after this... I tried this, tried with more tanks and Atrox for another low cost dummy for the rollers and I cannot do 2-19. Even with A1 Volka now!! But I'm fairly convinced if I try enough times and get the timing using this strat I can do it! Tbh, my gear isn't great, but I am so close I don't want to spent too much energy farming the 18 stage when I could use it for potential invig sets! This is definitely what I needed though, cheers Fasty!
That last hectic wave at 17:15 and 20:10 I had to quickly place Vortex, Khamet, Dolores, Laurel before my tanks or Khamet would get killed by rock throwers. Not sure if they changed the targeting or what, but it's REALLY difficult to time all of that and still get tanks down to stop the mobs in time for Khamet to still hit them.
@@fastidious_gg I thought that's what they were supposed to do, but it didn't matter if I placed Dolores last or Khamet last, they'd go after Khamet every time. Like I said, I had to place the tanks last for them to target the tanks/Vortex. Weird.
I don't know if you notice this or if it's only me, when the boss turns red, he takes more damage. I use Silas on my GR2 because he's really cheap, when the boss goes forward and turn red he kills the boss with 4-5 hits
I just beat 2-19 and didn’t even try 20 but have everyone and beat 19 this way i just assumed my khamet didnt have enough juice but i thought u literally had my khamet the stats were so similar. Only difference is i have brokkir and not regulus which should help with the undying So u got my blood pumping I’m waiting for work to be done so i can try this for a few hours
Just a quick shout out to aatrox cause I haven't seen him mentioned using this strat. I know it's less likely people will have him compared to some of the other heroes mentioned, but he's a fighter with 6 cost and 15 sec revival time. Can definitely make tanking some of the golden guards easier.
Yeah he would just be used to tank the second hits from the rolling guards because you're not even blocking, just tanking the hits. Like at 19:50, you use Dagna and Dalyn to suicide into 2 hits each from the guards, aatrox could also be used there. I skipped using Dalyn altogether and used aatrox instead because he also saves a ton of cost. @@fastidious_gg

I Saw Dagna on the headline image. Hopefully there's more ways to take her into the endgame and keep using Dagna. Still a big fan of her character. I gotta keep looking into better builds so she can stay viable . I don't even have Volka, yet, but o have almost everyone else.

Some tips/stuff i didn't like 15:31 you can remove the dolores early since if the attack is going its still going to apply the buff since in the code it goes "does it have dolores buff" and then it picks yes or no and it gives the buff to khamet without checking again until the start of the next attack 16:00 you can place both they wont take any damage until the units arrive 20:28 you have time to turn khamets ult on and use dolores ult here 20:48 the rock throwers throw the rocks twice at unimportant spots (somewhere at the start and before they enter khamets range) but they throw their third rocks once they get next to khamet so you can pretty much pick up vortex as soon as the second rock throw is up since khamet can most likely survive one rock throw if they even get to their third spot 21:19 this burns my eyes,the boss can hit twice and then you can place units (if you are slow try on mobile or place baron after the first strike) 22:07 everyone past wave 19 does it 22:24 if you have something like a silas or a nuker thats better than khamet you can place them there (if you can afford the slots that is but 100% once you get power of dominance) Fun Fact: I still haven't beaten 21 due to my lack of gear and luck but i beat it on multiple other accounts :)

@@fastidious_gg in terms of cost regen, for example back than I didnt have Dolores I had to use Zilitu and Setram to clear 20, so she actually allows you to use 2 dps if you struggle with one

They 1000% expected. It is no coincidence that they Volka with he -25% revival time ability and it times out perfectly on this stage

And when he does so you despawn desimus and immediately put a platform hero. That seems to comfuse the game. The boss stays in red mode, freezes in place and is unable to do anything. Seems like a bug and I don't know if it happens for everyone, but it happened to me and it's like that even in auto 😁

Hi m8, great video as always! I managed to use the same strategy with Setram with inspiration from this and Ronaldo's DPS - however only 2-19, the highest stats required for the higher lvls ofc.
11:20 the cost sets are often spoken of for Narvi, Dalyn and I believe there is a third option? How about the artifact "Lucky Legacy", isn't it exactly meant for these chars? Would you mind doing an in-depth guide on the cost units down the line; when to pick who, and when they break even? It would help a lot to know their nuances for fast cost vs sustained cost or other uses.
The choice is always Dalyn or narvi imo. If u have more time and her auto Rebel skilled, Dalyn is the best. As for lucky coin, that is the artifact to use but it’s base trigger is only 1/20 so I don’t even bother mentioning it. Too much rng

I did not go and beat 2-21 after this... I tried this, tried with more tanks and Atrox for another low cost dummy for the rollers and I cannot do 2-19. Even with A1 Volka now!! But I'm fairly convinced if I try enough times and get the timing using this strat I can do it! Tbh, my gear isn't great, but I am so close I don't want to spent too much energy farming the 18 stage when I could use it for potential invig sets! This is definitely what I needed though, cheers Fasty!

That last hectic wave at 17:15 and 20:10 I had to quickly place Vortex, Khamet, Dolores, Laurel before my tanks or Khamet would get killed by rock throwers. Not sure if they changed the targeting or what, but it's REALLY difficult to time all of that and still get tanks down to stop the mobs in time for Khamet to still hit them.

@@fastidious_gg I thought that's what they were supposed to do, but it didn't matter if I placed Dolores last or Khamet last, they'd go after Khamet every time. Like I said, I had to place the tanks last for them to target the tanks/Vortex. Weird.

I don't know if you notice this or if it's only me, when the boss turns red, he takes more damage. I use Silas on my GR2 because he's really cheap, when the boss goes forward and turn red he kills the boss with 4-5 hits

I just beat 2-19 and didn’t even try 20 but have everyone and beat 19 this way i just assumed my khamet didnt have enough juice but i thought u literally had my khamet the stats were so similar. Only difference is i have brokkir and not regulus which should help with the undying

Brokkir works perfectly! Used him in a takeover yesterday for 2-21
Just a quick shout out to aatrox cause I haven't seen him mentioned using this strat. I know it's less likely people will have him compared to some of the other heroes mentioned, but he's a fighter with 6 cost and 15 sec revival time. Can definitely make tanking some of the golden guards easier.
I don't like atrox here. unlike other fighters he only has 1 block. this really makes him less usable imo
Yeah he would just be used to tank the second hits from the rolling guards because you're not even blocking, just tanking the hits. Like at 19:50, you use Dagna and Dalyn to suicide into 2 hits each from the guards, aatrox could also be used there. I skipped using Dalyn altogether and used aatrox instead because he also saves a ton of cost. @@fastidious_gg

I Saw Dagna on the headline image. Hopefully there's more ways to take her into the endgame and keep using Dagna. Still a big fan of her character. I gotta keep looking into better builds so she can stay viable .

Hey @Fastidious I am stuck on 2-20 trying this strategy with vierna. specifically on minute 20:14 of you video. decimus does not stop the mobs for long enough for vierna to nuke all of them and the last 2 mobs always manage to get through. How can i get around this? Thank you!
you need to skill up decimus then. try my new guide. maybe it helps u more.
Took me like an hours and a half of tries but finally got it down. Only differences in team is Narvi instead of Dalyn and Brokkir instead of Regulus.

I did 20 but the boss smashed way more than 2 times. Is this decimus hero the key to that?
21 i seem to be lacking gear still
When he is smashing make sure no one is deployed. Then he will turn from red back to blue. Then you can redeploy and be good to go.
Some tips/stuff i didn't like
15:31 you can remove the dolores early since if the attack is going its still going to apply the buff since in the code it goes "does it have dolores buff" and then it picks yes or no and it gives the buff to khamet without checking again until the start of the next attack
16:00 you can place both they wont take any damage until the units arrive
20:28 you have time to turn khamets ult on and use dolores ult here
20:48 the rock throwers throw the rocks twice at unimportant spots (somewhere at the start and before they enter khamets range) but they throw their third rocks once they get next to khamet so you can pretty much pick up vortex as soon as the second rock throw is up since khamet can most likely survive one rock throw if they even get to their third spot
21:19 this burns my eyes,the boss can hit twice and then you can place units (if you are slow try on mobile or place baron after the first strike)
22:07 everyone past wave 19 does it
22:24 if you have something like a silas or a nuker thats better than khamet you can place them there (if you can afford the slots that is but 100% once you get power of dominance)
Fun Fact: I still haven't beaten 21 due to my lack of gear and luck but i beat it on multiple other accounts :)
The strategy and guide works perfectly and has helped countless people. Does not need to be perfectly efficient if it does the job perfectly well.

The timing of the rolling (now running) enemies seems to be slightly off after the latest update so had to redo it to get auto to work

@@fastidious_gg in terms of cost regen, for example back than I didnt have Dolores I had to use Zilitu and Setram to clear 20, so she actually allows you to use 2 dps if you struggle with one

@FastidiousYT I came across a situation where I bought the dragon pass for 19.99 the pads unlock but did not give me my items. I reach out to support and they are taking forever to give me those items. Is there customer service always this slow.

Completely hero dependent. Gr2 tho has the easiest hero and gear requirement by far
