Thank you for explaining the timings so well, I was lucky and pulled Hex to go with Pyros and Zilitu and a poorly built Nocturne and it doubled my Nightmare 4 damage because I was able to move away from my Nightmare team. I really appreciate all the work you put into this community. I honestly have struggled with Pyros for along time because I didn't have the other Infernal legendaries to go with him but everyone talked about how good he is. Now I understand he is great when you have the other damage dealers with him. Hoping I pull setram soon.
Just wanted to say thanks for the great guide! I was doing NM3 at just barely reaching 10k per key with pyros. Changed his build now I’m doing 13.5k! Some better gear and should be getting 20k no problem! Thanks man love the content
Great guide! I love how you go really in depth and show us so many different strategies/comps. Personally I don't have any heroes who will benefit from Pyros yet, but I'm still going to fuse him. I feel like they make the fusions easy enough in this game to do them all (at least thus far), so I'm going to pick him up and hope I get lucky in the future!

A downside to running vortex is that if his shields are strong enough to prevent all damage from an attack, the damage doesn't register regarding rage Regen. Usually not an issue with guild boss but I did mess up my gr2 run by upgrading vortex's gear. Sadie didn't regenerate rage fast enough because vortex was shielding her and the run was in shambles.
@fastidious Great guide, lots of good information. In the future though it might be good to move yourself to the right corner when trying to explain the ultimate triggering. Some of the items we were unable to see just have to listen to you explain it.

Oh I got him for so long but never found a good explanation for him as his kit is so mess up specially the ult where it looks like the others doesn't dps. Once again you save me :) Great guid. I will wait the fusion but I will put the 2 more stone and see if I can finally beat this 3th shield!
Pyros might be a guild boss specialist on late-endgame accounts, but you really should not underestimate his power for other areas aswell. His ultimate deals really good aoe damage, to the point that he deals similar damage compared to some of my aoe damage dealers in GR1 - he's just harder to use. I pulled him really early on so I'm a little biased, but he's incredible for progression in general and even useful for GR 19 first clears (just melts the bosses in an offensive build), likely even higher though I lack the experience beyond that point. Also, I put my Pyros in an attack build with 287 attackspeed to hit a good reduction, he's dealing really good damage on his own in guild boss - and with a lower level samsara than yours I can still hit double ultimate per shield even without a rage regeneration healer. So I think while attack speed is important, I think you went a little overkill here and could opt for lower speed and more damage on him to get a better result.
Thank you for your comment! This is exactly what I was wanting an answer to. He kept pushing so hard for using Pyros on the guild boss I kept wondering if you would be useful against other bosses in the gear raids. Now that you've confirmed that for me, I'm going to build him just for that.
great guide. looking forward to getting a pyros although i only have imani and nocturne as dps so I'm not sure if I should use all 3 of them yet in place of what I use now. i will experiment and see what happens. I use nocturne now. Now that I have a better understanding of how to use him properly.
i should have watched this first! i spent all night gearing and re-regearing all of my guild boss team so i could take out mari and replace her debuffs with pyros and i did it all wrong. got him to 95 rage regen but had no idea about the atk speed requirement so my big push on NM3 today only yielded 8,700 blood which is only 700 more than yesterday LOL. Maybe with this new info i can hit 10k tomorrow. thanks for the videos and the knowledge!
@@fastidious_gg ha no I got 8,285 using an assist hero, i figured a lvl 60 Arrogance would do more than any of my other dps but he was dead last, doing less than my newly regeared Pyros! how about a video on how these assist champions work because i've heard it's not just borrowing their hero as built but i'm not sure how.
Do you know if Laya can cover the rage regen needs of a comp like this instead of Elowyn? I have a hollow if not but like the sound of Laya’s attack boost.
Nice video, gotta try and run my Setram, Nocturne, Hex, Twofiend with uncle Pyros. FYI: if you do videos similar to this one, you (your image, I mean XD) should be on the other side so we can see perfectly how the rage meters increase (I cannot see Pyros' or Zili's) which I think it's key for the strat :)
Just curious, as I got Pyros today.... What if I have 4 DPS + Pyros from Infernal? Can I put Dolores in the team below without the Lord buff? Or is it advised to put her into the Infernal team too? I wanted to use Zilitu, Setram, Hex, Noct, Pyros. With Dolores in the other team (For Clan boss)

Especially curious since she is in ancients this weekend (not that I ever seem to pull anyone). And what about Nocturne's specific artifact? I only have one so no idea how that scales for him. Could you show that from the test server?
Great video. Does Laya have any place in the GB comp? i do not have elowyn but have vortex, can her rage regen replicate the elowyn runs or is it not strong enough to do so?
Thanks for the guide. I have one question though: I have neither Hex nor Zilitu, but the rest of the Infernal Blast fraction (except the Legendary Lords, of course). Does this (in your opinion) still makes sense with Setram, Nocturne and another (epic) nuker? Azzoth or Imani for example? If yes, which Nuker would you recommend? (Because I need to build them to try it). I do have Elowyn though...
No. He places VULNERABILITY to physical and magic damage. That is different the defense red or magic res red. And yea your whole team will benefit from that. Then, he also gives faction Allies penetration so they ignore 30% defense and magic res red. That is Buff just for faction allies.
So basically the key of this guide is ultimate timings and it's the only thing we don't get to see because the dude is standing in front of the ultimate timers 😅🤦
This is an amazing guide. I have Twinfiends but not at a1 so Pyros will be better. Also I have defo not got the right build on my twinfeind lol. might try this on him in the meantime.
Hey man let me know info if pyros lord no active can use any healer or only vortex to be works and for one ultimate pyros need first active ultimate after others or can start sentro hex and others pyros let me know.

Thanks for the guide fasty. I have been using pyros for a couple months now in guild boss, but I’m so confused by his kit. His ultimate description says he gets Focus Fire when deployed as a hero, not when he uses his ult all the time. So I have been deploying my other infernal heroes first then him last. But does focus fire happen every time he ults? I’m so lost lol.
Wait, i have artifact that gives a chance for duble attack (i think its 18%), with all this attack speed maybe that can do too? 🤔 im low on gear with rage regen
Can someone explain why we should use the ultimate of other infernal units at the same time as Pyros? When pyros ults he makes other units stop attacking for a bit so wouldn't it be better to use their ult after Pyros's ult is done?
When their ults are active they still are getting all the boost the would normally get so the damage on all counts i way higher. Try it out and see if you want.
Have you tested, wether if you go higher on attack speed, you can lower the Rage regen requirement? Im currently on 60% but my speed is on 1.4 interval
Then your speed and rage regen are both lower than what I showed. I think you can tho. With his talent stacking 4 times that build you have could be enough
@@fastidious_gg Think i misread, im on +560 speed + 16 from pantheon. wich puts me on 1.2 interval instead of 1.4. Rage regen is on 43% + 23% from pantheon. so the difference is literally 4% rage
I don't wanna be "that guy" but do you think maybe having your body over the top of the ultimate's, especially when talking about the clock, might have not been the play?
On weapons and armor... Chest pieces can only have speed of they're special in some what. It's actually not that rare, if you just ran a bunch of gr1 search whirlwind chests with speed. Then weapons with speed, much more common, as an aside, weapons can't have crit damage unless they're special in some way. Just something to be aware of. After that speed amulet and speed subs on the bangle and ring, you should be sitting pretty on attack speed.
wait, so each attack doesn't refresh the timer on his talent? you have 5 seconds of attack speed boost and then it starts over? the way i read it, as long as you attack within 5 seconds, it should keep stacking to max and then stay at max unless it's been more than 5 seconds since you attacked. That isn't correct?
@@fastidious_gg oh, so it's in the middle. you COULD, with the right attack speed, have full up time. each stack falls off after 5 seconds, but it's not that after 5 seconds it resets back to 0. tracking now!
@@fastidious_ggno, for sure. That's why I emphasized "could". It's theoretically possible. I was originally thinking you were saying that every 5 seconds interval, ALL stacks dropped and you started over.

Could u advise on laurel one? I've recently drew A1 pyros, a zilu and setram and building a night mare infernal comp But I'm in a predicament 4 NM units, laurel dolo healer, and then we got pyros zilu and setram, no space for silas
even tho i have the exact same team only without hex, more rage regen and more attack speed then your pyros, i cant ult 3 times between 2nd and 3rd shield. i cannot understand why

Also, in the video you have 70 rage regen and in my build its 104% so no pantheon can reach that point i guess cuz on top i have +16% from pantheon. İts so strange i cannot understand. I have a GB team with Zilitu and Nocturne but wether I put Pyros in my comp or not doesnt change much my damage ouput as my pyros is taking the place of one true dps. Dunno what I am doing wrong.
One other thing for early game low spenders and f2p... If you have a pyros, Imani, breunor and scorch are the only infernal epic DPS. Each represents the least option, but because of the faction mechanic, they will still do okay or better DPS just because pyros is constantly ulting. The more the merrier. Zilitu, nocturne, hex and setram are obviously the best. Orem is better than scorch, and Imani is better than anai and arguably better than nocturne unless you luck into awakenings. Obviously hex and setram are better than breunor. For breunor build speed to compensate for atrocious 3.5 attack interval and speed malace during ult, but again, it's all about the pyros ults for any infernal DPS. There are only three melee in the faction, zilitu, Orem, and scorch, who are good to hang onto just for options in case you want to do the laurel strat. Breunor for the same reason, his range allows him to be able to sit in the right places for laurel to fit, unless you have hex or setram. Optimally, 4 infernal DPS, and Delores, and that will maximize pyros's ults, which will happen nearly constantly.
I cant figure out where im going wrong, my zilitu has a maxed out ultimate, my pyros has +491 atk sp and +103 rage regen as well as pantheon ontop of that. I trigger pyros first then zilitu a second or so after, but she still finishes her ultimate before pyros fires off his second shot 😵💫🤷♂️🤷♂️
I struggle with faction trial 7, can't beat it, don't have Setram or Zilitu, just Nocturne lvl 50 (and Ailyn and Orim), Pyros lvl 50 can't beat the "boss" fast enough, Nocturne seems to deal poor DPS on mobs... I managed to beat every other faction trails 9 or more, maybe someone can help me on this one ^^ Nice vid by the way, super detailed and accurate !
Just an honest question, if ur artefacts and gears are already maxed, and u did 20k…then how the heck the whales get like 50-80k blood? What boost them way more? Tht aside thks and great content mate
i was following your build so i put a att.speed amulet on him, i even used a ancient mythical for the extra 10% speed 220 as you suggested but it didn't give me the extra? why?
Can you move yourself out of the way when you do videos about when to trigger ultimates please? You cover up a couple of the ults that you are taking about.
True but I either trigger as soon as he is up or after that way he doesn't lose so much of the ultimate as long as his ultimate is up when you trigger pyros they get the boosted damage to sheild
I don't understand this hero. How is it that even though he's keeping your Infernal Heroes locked in channeling for 10 seconds without attacking, he still manages to boost damage 😂
@@fastidious_gg i meant the fact that they are not attacking until the mark blows up. Also I don't understand why you would trigger ultimates before Pyros. Isn't it just better after his own?
with the elowyn comp, trigger pyros first allowed him to finish and have another ult ready DURING the same first ult from Hex and Zili. So you get to double up. Without that the timing does not work.
One big mistake is not using someone for the vulnerability debuff to replace pyros. If he did, the damage without pyros vs with pyros would be very close, if not similar.
I went out of my way to explain that. Even if it was the same or more in that case. We would be 1. bringing an extra unit (8 person team not 7 person so not a good comp) and 2. getting an even bigger boost from an a5 leggo jeez
I don't understand why you keep calling the late game sets, "premium" or "promo" or some stuff like that. They are normal items you can farm and that you will have on your heroes once you can clear stage 19, nothing premium about them. 🤔

20% crit rate & 30% crit damage on Twinfiend. So many Crits! It does making building infernals easier because all of the lord's have low rage caps

With 2 infernal dps he won't be at max potential. So potentially just use him for his lord bonus until you get your 3rd.

Not yet no. Tbh laya is so so so rare I don't think it would make for very accessible content

She would be an upgrade over vortex. And decent comp to elowyn. Won't bring the same rage regen but will bring damage boost

No. He places VULNERABILITY to physical and magic damage. That is different the defense red or magic res red. And yea your whole team will benefit from that. Then, he also gives faction Allies penetration so they ignore 30% defense and magic res red. That is Buff just for faction allies.
So basically the key of this guide is ultimate timings and it's the only thing we don't get to see because the dude is standing in front of the ultimate timers 😅🤦

No but it increase the damage they do during it. Because during the ult they receive penetration increase and the vulnerabilities are up

Thanks for the guide fasty. I have been using pyros for a couple months now in guild boss, but I’m so confused by his kit. His ultimate description says he gets Focus Fire when deployed as a hero, not when he uses his ult all the time. So I have been deploying my other infernal heroes first then him last. But does focus fire happen every time he ults? I’m so lost lol.

Can someone explain why we should use the ultimate of other infernal units at the same time as Pyros? When pyros ults he makes other units stop attacking for a bit so wouldn't it be better to use their ult after Pyros's ult is done?
When their ults are active they still are getting all the boost the would normally get so the damage on all counts i way higher. Try it out and see if you want.
Have you tested, wether if you go higher on attack speed, you can lower the Rage regen requirement? Im currently on 60% but my speed is on 1.4 interval
Then your speed and rage regen are both lower than what I showed. I think you can tho. With his talent stacking 4 times that build you have could be enough
@@fastidious_gg Think i misread, im on +560 speed + 16 from pantheon. wich puts me on 1.2 interval instead of 1.4. Rage regen is on 43% + 23% from pantheon. so the difference is literally 4% rage

The "symbolems" on pyros and twinfiend almost look as if they were originally designed to be apart of the nightmare faction!

On weapons and armor... Chest pieces can only have speed of they're special in some what. It's actually not that rare, if you just ran a bunch of gr1 search whirlwind chests with speed. Then weapons with speed, much more common, as an aside, weapons can't have crit damage unless they're special in some way. Just something to be aware of.
After that speed amulet and speed subs on the bangle and ring, you should be sitting pretty on attack speed.

wait, so each attack doesn't refresh the timer on his talent? you have 5 seconds of attack speed boost and then it starts over? the way i read it, as long as you attack within 5 seconds, it should keep stacking to max and then stay at max unless it's been more than 5 seconds since you attacked. That isn't correct?
no each stack lasts 5 seconds. so several can overlap but they are not permanent.
@@fastidious_gg oh, so it's in the middle. you COULD, with the right attack speed, have full up time. each stack falls off after 5 seconds, but it's not that after 5 seconds it resets back to 0. tracking now!
u would need an atk interval of like just over .8 seconds to max 6 stacks. That ain't gonna happen with the diminishing returns on attack speed added.

Depends on what kind of comp you run. I know end game comps are running both of them together with Laurel
even tho i have the exact same team only without hex, more rage regen and more attack speed then your pyros, i cant ult 3 times between 2nd and 3rd shield. i cannot understand why

I have a GB team with Zilitu and Nocturne but wether I put Pyros in my comp or not doesnt change much my damage ouput as my pyros is taking the place of one true dps. Dunno what I am doing wrong.
Your timing is likely wrong and also you need 3 infernal dps to truly get pyros full potential

One other thing for early game low spenders and f2p... If you have a pyros, Imani, breunor and scorch are the only infernal epic DPS. Each represents the least option, but because of the faction mechanic, they will still do okay or better DPS just because pyros is constantly ulting. The more the merrier.
Zilitu, nocturne, hex and setram are obviously the best.
Orem is better than scorch, and Imani is better than anai and arguably better than nocturne unless you luck into awakenings.
Obviously hex and setram are better than breunor.
For breunor build speed to compensate for atrocious 3.5 attack interval and speed malace during ult, but again, it's all about the pyros ults for any infernal DPS.
There are only three melee in the faction, zilitu, Orem, and scorch, who are good to hang onto just for options in case you want to do the laurel strat. Breunor for the same reason, his range allows him to be able to sit in the right places for laurel to fit, unless you have hex or setram.
Optimally, 4 infernal DPS, and Delores, and that will maximize pyros's ults, which will happen nearly constantly.
I'm at a place where I might six star moreen just to see if she does better than breunor, she fits, and she does the physical damage reduction.
I cant figure out where im going wrong, my zilitu has a maxed out ultimate, my pyros has +491 atk sp and +103 rage regen as well as pantheon ontop of that. I trigger pyros first then zilitu a second or so after, but she still finishes her ultimate before pyros fires off his second shot 😵💫🤷♂️🤷♂️

I struggle with faction trial 7, can't beat it, don't have Setram or Zilitu, just Nocturne lvl 50 (and Ailyn and Orim), Pyros lvl 50 can't beat the "boss" fast enough, Nocturne seems to deal poor DPS on mobs...
I managed to beat every other faction trails 9 or more, maybe someone can help me on this one ^^

Your losing damage with Setram brother you shouldn't trigger till after pyros is done with his ultimate i found this out after I got twinfiend
Setram doesn't fit well with pyros but from my testing this is the right way. Most people still will need setram to help the shield.
True but I either trigger as soon as he is up or after that way he doesn't lose so much of the ultimate as long as his ultimate is up when you trigger pyros they get the boosted damage to sheild

I don't understand this hero. How is it that even though he's keeping your Infernal Heroes locked in channeling for 10 seconds without attacking, he still manages to boost damage 😂
they are only locked out if their ultimate isnt live. that is why we time triggers to make sure we double up on both his boost and their ults
@@fastidious_gg i meant the fact that they are not attacking until the mark blows up. Also I don't understand why you would trigger ultimates before Pyros. Isn't it just better after his own?
with the elowyn comp, trigger pyros first allowed him to finish and have another ult ready DURING the same first ult from Hex and Zili. So you get to double up. Without that the timing does not work.

One big mistake is not using someone for the vulnerability debuff to replace pyros. If he did, the damage without pyros vs with pyros would be very close, if not similar.
I went out of my way to explain that. Even if it was the same or more in that case. We would be 1. bringing an extra unit (8 person team not 7 person so not a good comp) and 2. getting an even bigger boost from an a5 leggo jeez

I don't understand why you keep calling the late game sets, "premium" or "promo" or some stuff like that. They are normal items you can farm and that you will have on your heroes once you can clear stage 19, nothing premium about them. 🤔
This is what I have heard people call these sets. If you have a better name for them feel free to let me know.
Premium means better and harder to get. Which they are.
