As a manager of a small, close and generally very positive and tight knit team, the most important thing to me will always be my employees doing what’s best for themselves. It’s my job to take care of the office but it’s your job to take care of yourself so stay in your lane and do what you need to do, it’s my job and not yours to worry about what you leave behind.
I applied to a job while in a job. Just moved on and some of my bosses lowkey took it out on me at times after putting my two weeks in. Just petty stuff. But still, I finally found something I wanted to do that aligned to what I went to college for and paid a lot better. I had to choose my future.
7:20 Podcast advertisers measure "bang for buck" by how many promo code uses they get off a podcast. Not nessecarily the number of impressions. So they do know that they are getting their moneia worth in that sense.
It's usually small businesses. I want to leave the company I work for but when I do I plan on giving 4 weeks notice because it's small and I know it's gonna be a big adjustment when I leave.
@@EphemeralDust Bro you are high off your ass. When Qdoba first released their queso they used edible plastic to keep it liquid all day. Their quality of ingredients is inferior across the board. Free guac? Who eats avocados anyway besides Tim Gurner.
I worked a sales job for a year and did as little to nothing as I feasibly could to just collect money and I had NO guilt about the company especially when I finally left for going to college lmao
I have an experience about quitting early that happened a few years ago. I worked in an industry that was highly specialized, and I was with one company for 10 years. I applied to a new company for their lead position, and this company was significantly more profitable. I was the most qualified candidate by a long shot, so i started and began training to take over from the lead, who was retiring soon. About two weeks before he was going to retire, I quit on the spot due to accepting a job with a different career path. I knew they would have just let me go if i put in two weeks. Now I have been doing a job I have always wanted to do.
I think podcasts actually tend to have some of the better engagement rate cos people trust podcasters more and aren't sitting looking at a screen like for video so it might just be easier to wait through the ad than skip it (if you are driving or otherwise busy)
@7:55 A is describing that one long island comedian bro who is married to a PR woman. Can't remember his name. The dude whos dad yelled at his principal.
7:20 Incorrect, they just make certain ads unskippable and make you pay for premium and then premium has ads so you have to pay for Gold Premium, then Platinum, and onward
Hey y'all just wanted to drop in to say that I got a new job and I'm loving it. I had an interview at a snow cone place and after it I still had like nine resumes on me so I went down to the Old Town district in my city and started giving out the resumes. When I went into the army Navy store the guy had me fill out an application and then brought me over to the manager who did an interview right that moment. About a week later I am in an interview with a pool supply place and as the minutes tick by I just keep thinking about how badly I want the army Navy store position so I turned down the pool supply store and was planning on calling the Navy store the next day. Around noon I'm sitting there at my computer and the army Navy store calls me, they wanted to set up my first day. I'm basically all stocking my first few days was just organizing the wall of pants sweatshirts and military pants. Yesterday was 7 hours of security tags. Normally this wouldn't be a job that someone likes but I can spend the entire time listening to music or playing TH-cam videos in my ear they don't care and this feels accurate for what I'm getting paid. That is honestly my best recommendation is to find a job that feels worth the pay. If I'm going to be doing minimum wage I'm going to be doing minimum wage in a job where I can just stand around and not do anything not a fast food joint.
I listen to podcasts at work cause i can wear earbuds and music gets monotonous after a while, i don't get the chance to skip ads, but I listen to the yard so i guess theyre not really ads I also listen to Big A vods cause hes like a podcast in the form of 1 man
1.) you need new music if it’s getting monotonous 😂 I recommend Jeff Buckley 2.) by not getting the chance to skip ads do you mean you can’t use your phone? In that case try using “okay google/Hey siri skip ahead a minute”
One thing to remember when you're quitting, your professional reputation does matter, and a lot of industries/professions are smaller than you think. Sticking around until the company can find a replacement, giving a full two weeks etc, those are things which yes, provide value to the company, but also make the jobs of people around you easier, and they'll remember you as a better teammate. And that can be extremely valuable down the line if you need a reference or a recommendation for another job at another company.
quit my job 2 weeks ago cuz i was spiraling emotionally, don't regret leaving that toxic shit hole. i do miss making 6 figs but i do not miss people telling me i can't do shit cuz they're too insecure to let someone younger than them do complex data science
You should actually feel extremely bad for even thinking of betraying your company family and you should pick up multiple hours of over time with no pay to make up for it
to the person who asked the first question. Atrioic is right, don't feel gulty about quitting after they put in resources. Companies understand that turn overs happen. It's part of running a company. I also learned that companies will be fine even if you quit on the spot. Also they don't give a damn about you and let you go at any moment. It's okay to fire your job and leave at any moment. don't feel bad at all, they will treat you like a number and move on to the next
The podcast take seems off to me. The advertisers surely have analytics based on how many people use the promo code and that's why they keep coming back.
Fuck that company, they would cut you in a second. Best thing someone told me about corporate America: They’re your family, but your not in their family.
Wow … Big A I’m impressed by your response to the first question . Not only are you 💯 but you also asked if the chatter was OK which is what a good boss should always start with. The mark of a great boss/company is genuine understanding/empathy when you decide to leave. Once you make the decision to go it is difficult for both parties to justify continuing the same old schtick. If you can’t/don’t keep in contact with your former leaders/team after you depart then …
short answer: companies are people too, never quit.

chipotle got rid of the quesodilla and that's all I liked from there

For big companies yeah. Small companies tend to care more, because each person counts. They know your name, not a number. And need to replace you.
