Der intelligente und erfahrene Dirigent leitet das ausgezeichnete Kammerorchester in verschiedenen Tempi und mit angenehmer Dynamik. Alles ist wunderbar!

Haydn’s symphony count is actually *107.* The familiar numbered 104 symphonies (Hob. I:1-104) = 104 The three movement sinfonia (overture) to Le pescatrici (Hob. I:106) = 105 Symphony ‘A’ (Hob. I:107) = 106 Symphony ‘B’ (Hob. I:108) = 107 The missing Hob. I:105 is the Sinfonia concertante. Symphonies ‘A’ and ‘B’ were mistakenly thought to be string quartets by Eusebius Mandyczewski who compiled the first and now familiar list of Haydn symphonies that first appeared in 1907. Mandyczewski’s list was adopted unchanged by Hoboken in his catalogue of the complete works of Haydn, in spite of known errors - largely to avoid worldwide confusion.
I played Haydn when I was young, but haven't listened to him much as an adult. How beautiful his music is.
