      @LINY The X5 is really cool but I think I'm gonna hold at 5 blenders for awhile. 3-Vitamix's and 2-Blendtec's. Vitamix in my opinion is a better blender. Make's a smoother smoothie, and is better for meal preparation in the kitchen.

      I have a breville super Q and it’s a great blender that does all this and more. Was here being nosey to see what was upgraded and its not anything that says “must buy” especially needing to use a spatula with every use, which is why I chose breveille.

    • @chrisoffersen

      The noise factor, though. With my current blender, everyone runs off when I start blending. That’s not so much fun. A reduction in noise would certainly be something to get excited about.

    As an A3500 owner significant reduction in base size and noise (especially noise) would be very compelling. Neither of which has been changed enough for me to make the jump. Five more programs is just not enough. The App by the way has 15 or so programs to choose from. Shrink the base a bit more and quiet it down in an noticable way (a cover defeats the size issue) and my A3500 would be on its way to a new home. Until then I'm good.

    Thanks for the overview on the X5. I ordered a certified recon A3500 exactly a year ago, and it's been one of the best purchases I've ever made. I've used it to create dozens of blends from your recipes-smoothies, creamy wild rice soup, vegan queso, and of course, lots of green juice 💚
    Could you please do an overview video of the Ascent X series that compares the different models? For example: as far as I can tell, the X4 and X5 appear to be nearly identical, save for the X5 having more steel in the base. Seems like trim options on the same model car.

    • @LINY
      @LINY  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      The biggest difference between the X4 and X5 is the extra five programs. Looks like the steel on the base is identical between the two save for a few accents on the face. We are planning to get an X4 and an X2 to see how they all compare. We love hearing from customers like you and appreciate your belief in our work.

      The 48oz container that you’re using with the X5 seems to have a narrower profile at the base than the 48oz Ascent containers that have been available for a while.
      Can you confirm if this is actually true and also if the 48 oz X5 container is compatible with the older Ascent models?

Does the vitamix have a very thin slice option? I prefer to have a white or gold appliance. No thank you to stainless steel, black, gunmetal, and gray. Red is better than any of those, but white and gold are best. Quiet is a really nice advantage.

      I have been collecting Vitamix's and for me I think I have two of the best looking, a 1970s Chrome 3600 in mint condition, even the stickers look brand new. I only run it with liquid to keep the gears moving and I keep another 3600 to make soft serve with the spigot. The 3600 is simply gorgeous, my second favorite looking Vitamix. I also have a Professional 500 Stainless Steel and keep the optional 48oz Stainless Steel container on it, it gives it an incredible look, kind of a retro modern thing, almost like an Atari 5200 or a Trans AM. I think with that stainless container my Professional 500 Stainless Steel is the most beautiful of all but I also like the Ascent in dark green and gold. Even though the Professional 500 looks better I would love to have a real stainless Heritage Professional 750 to use as my main machine but I missed the boat and nobody seems to sell them new to near new.

      Good news, you get a lot more programs with the 3500 if you install the Vitamix Perfect Blend App on iOS or Android. An X5 is maxed out at ten programs because it does not have Bluetooth/App connections. You also get a cord wrap under the 3500, personally I can't stand seeing cords. An X5 is only smaller and certainly a lot sleeker looking (I side by sided them at William Sonoma and yes the X5 is sexy and has the +15 second button, not really all that important, you can just manually run 15 seconds, its not like you were going to walk away and accomplish much in 15 seconds. For me to lose the extra programs available in the Perfect Blend app I think to buy an X5 kind of stinks. I'd probably take a 3500 over the X5. I get that a lot of people aren't using the app but some people love it. kind of sad Vitamix didn't see that stuff through with more app recipes and features.

    I think the fact that you only receive a 48oz container versus the 64oz that comes with the previous Ascent series will be a deal-breaker for many. This means you will need to spend an additional $170 if you want the standard larger container. Also while the body is now enclosed to help with sound, my understanding is that this uses the same motor as the previous Ascent series. I imagine this means the thermals inside will be much worse, which could possibly lead to reliability issues over the longer term. Vitamix has a great 10-Year warranty though, so it's probably not much of a concern for most people.

    Lovely video! I don’t think I like this series, that dial would bother me bad 😂

      It's one of those things you'd get use to and stop thinking about. Like how a mouse wheel toggles

      The dial felt cheap to me, the machine feels very nice overall but the material of that dial seems a bad choice.

    Upgrading a 12yr old pro 750 to the x5... i just always hated the user interface of the pro 750 and thats pushed me to use other appliances, i thinkthe x5 should fix that, need test it with making home made flour

      My main Vitamix is a Pro500 Stainless Steel with the 3 standard programs but I have been searching the world for a new/like new Heritage Pro750 to become my main unit, what is it you don't like about the interface? I just played with an X5 at William Sonoma today, I may consider an Ascent in the mix but I am still angry about no built-in Self Detect override. If a person can stick their hands into a Vitamix I think I can use one of my G series containers such as my 48oz Tritan Plastic without Self Detect and stay safe. I also just find it annoying to not be able to do something like briefly test the motor sound and "gear" base attachment point without a container. Self Detect can get in the way.

    • @engineeringVirtue
      @engineeringVirtue 28 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Yes, I'm seeing issues with self detect already in that not sure if the stainless steel, aero container, and the smaller 20/8 oz are compatible, someone said even some self detect stuff doesn't work... but i can work with this...there will be a good configuration, I'm pretty sure vitamix is doing some kind of lock on compatible containers to avoid having support 3rd party going forward or making it easy create competition from Chinese brands... it's the future, might as accept it and get on board with the better ui and more presets and +15s button, I do think people are moving away from plastic touching daily food so they do need long term revamp...

    Just great. Another 4 new unnecessary blender models (X2,X3,X4,X5) to be confused about. It's as bad as what Apple does with their iPad and iPhone model proliferation.

      As long as I can keep my vintage TNC, and Legacy 5300 Blenders running I'm not going to upgrade, I see no point in doing it. Maybe upgrade the containers as they wear out.

    Thanks but awful timing. We should have gotten early notification of the new lineup. I signed up for notifications. Recently, I returned a2500 bec it was too loud (volume is priority). Now I'm stuck with Pro Wolf blender that gives off a burning smell. Anyway to do a buyback (like cell & cable providers do) to get new ascent instead?

    Still waiting for Vacuum Blending from Vitamix...or is there just no interest or they can not compete with other Companies 🤔🤔🤔

      After the Blendtec container lawsuit Vitamix is being careful not to step on anybody patents. I've been looking at the Void Vacuum Blending System. Seems like a lot of extra work for $300. My blends are great now.

      You're not alone in wanting vacuum blending technology! While Vitamix hasn't announced plans for a vacuum blender (and we're not sure they will), we understand the appeal. Vacuum blending can offer some interesting benefits.
      We're actually exploring this technology ourselves for a new project. Stay tuned to our channel - we might have some exciting news about vacuum blending options in the near future. We're always looking for ways to elevate the blending experience for our community.

      There's a good video showing a hack using like $10 in hardware store parts (universal tub drain cover plus manual pump). It works!

      I just bought the Void Vacuum Blending Systems Lid. I have an 80 ounce container from Alterna Jar that I will use with it. It will fit either a Blendtec, or a Vitamix. You just have to swap out the blade assemblies because Blendtecs run clockwise, and Vitamix's run counter clockwise. It'll be fun playing with the Void Vacuum System.

      @@chevyguy6961 This is great info!
      Let us know how well the vacuum lid works. Just a heads up that folks were saying to "sandwich" any powders in the middle of fluids; if the powders are the top layer, the vacuum might pull them in and clog up.

    Disappointing design to be honest, nothing like the usual primium Vitamix blenders

  • @xperience-evolution

    It is baffling to me how Vitamix brings new modrls that don't offer anything new that is significant.
    For example a vacuum pump/function or a new DC motor or anything else that would bring them to the next level.
    Other blenders have past them in my opinion.
