- Jimmy Neutron’s Nicktoon Blast was a motion simulator attraction that opened at Universal Studios Florida on April 11th, 2003, and closed on August 18th, 2011. Featuring the largest collection of Nickelodeon characters ever assembled for a theme park attraction, It's up to Jimmy Neutron and the guests to save the day in a cartoonishly fun adventure that could only have been found at Universal Studios Florida.

Miss having Nickelodeon in the park. How there isn’t a Spongebob land is beyond me, he has staying power.
There was supposed to be one at Universal Dubai but the plans for the park fell through.
Or like at least an actual Krusty Krab burger place. I mean a big missed opportunity.
The reason I’ve heard why there’s no SpongeBob land or attractions is because universal fears by the time they actually get one built SpongeBob might not be as popular

Universal definitely rolled the dice with Jimmy Neutron as the main star for the ride. I guess at the time when it opened it was unknown for how long the lifespan of the character would be. Spongebob definitely would have been the safer pick, it could still possibly be at the park to this day
Well it was because of the Jimmy Neutron movie that just came out two years prior, that’s what inspired the ride, there was no random pick. They just saw how well the movie did for the budget it was working with, as well as the fact that it was nominated for the academy award of best animated film which led Universal to see a future market for Jimmy Neutron.
@LSpongebob was undoubtedly more popular and if the ride was themed to him it likely would still be there
I think with SpongeBob it would be harder to make a story where you could have had all those nicktoons cameos
That is really strange that Spongebob and Dora still have a slight presence there at Universal. I wonder how much longer that's going to last with Nintendo coming in to really take over the kids areas.

I feel oddly lucky (and old) to have gone on every iteration of this ride. The Hannah Barbera version was my very first theme park attraction.
Jimmy Neutron was my jam back then along with classic SpongeBob, Fairly Oddparents, Danny Phantom, CatDog, Rocket Power, and so much more.

I used to have Nick Jr and other Nickelodeon tapes as a young kid, but didn’t really watch them. I now have almost 100 VHS tapes, and almost a dozen being Nickelodeon tapes, with 3 Oranges.

This was my mom’s favorite ride! We always had to ride it when we entered the park and right before we left. She was so upset when it closed!

We have had a lot of goods times at Universal Studios, I'm glad they made it. I do miss some of the old rides, but you can't expect it to stay the same forever.

I have been on a mission since I was 11 to find the music from this ride. I loved the music; the mashup of the different themes was always a joy to listen to, but I've never been able to find the track, or even the composer of the ride.

The cancellation of Danny Phantom, Rocket Power, Cat Dog, Ah! Real Monsters, Angry Beavers, and the Wild Thornberrys was almost as big a crime as the production of the shows that replaced them (like Zoey 101).
I mean, we did some gems like Avatar and El Tigre, but yeah the rest of the post 2005 Nickelodeon roster was wack

This rides a classic. The end of nick at universal that’s for sure. But this ride was going to be outdated once the show ended and most of the characters were getting old except sponge bob.

I remember never wanting to ride jimmy neutron when I was a kid because my sister told me that if I could properly sing the chicken dance song the giant chicken god would eat me and so I rode it one time and never again after that

I would LOVE to see a video on Diagon Alley and Escape from gringots! i think many people have forgotton that most of that attraction was built on (and in the old water pool) of Jaws. I think it would be awesome too see ho universal incorporated all that area where Jaws once was!
If they would have made this today, they could have let The Loud House be the theme of the ride. Lisa Loud is Royal Woods's resident Jimmy Neutron and it could also use different ride films which focuses on different Nicktoons each time kind of like Star Tours.
That would be fantastic. Seeing as how much I love the loud house, this would be heaven for me and many others, if done right.

Nicktoon Blast was my favorite as a kid, I'm sad that it was replaced by Minion Mayhem. Nicktoon Blast is way better then Minion Mayhem.
The Skull & Spooky Channel Yeah, the loss of Nicktoon Blast was a devastation to some, many also miss the rides that Minion Mayhem replaced elsewhere, T2 3D in Hollywood and Back to the Future: The Ride in Japan.

I would wish if they can revive the ride with Spongebob, Patrick and Plankton (with the stolen Krabby Patty formula) being brought by Lincoln and Lisa by accident, when the girl genius was testing a teleport device, and so the villain escapes, thus now we have to help the four characters to chase him, starting in The Loud House Sound Stage, we pass towards the house with the cameos of the other sisters, then we get out to Nickelodeon Studios with those cameos of the Nicktoons of Past and Present, I can add a cameo of Jimmy and Carl saying that this sounds familiar, then we go pass the Hey Arnold Neighborhood and Rugrats Sound Stage just to go to Space, thus we travel to invader Zim's Sound Stage, here Plankton and Zim join forces to stop us, then we fall back to earth alongside Rocko and his friends, just to be saved by Aang with his air-bending powers, then we explore the Avatar Universe, but then, the teleport device malfunctions and we get transported into multiple worlds until it stops in the TMNT universe, where now Plankton and Zim recluited Shredder and Krang, while we and the heroes receive the help of the Turtles, the climax is represented with Plankton, Zim and Krang chasing us as we crash, so the teleport device finally sends us to the last localization, Bikini Bottom, where the true final confrontation begins, then the villains are defeated, and the Louds go back home while Zim and Krang are sent to their respective universes, and so, Spongebob, Patrick and Plankton stay in their respective home
