    I'm looking to buy a Colt czt in January, what things should I look out for? ie, any common faults etc etc . Good helpful videos mate.

      The common faults are the gearbox(made in Germany)and the manifold exhaust which is manufacture fault, this happen after 100000km.But the czt it has perfect engine if you do the right maintenance.I have 11 years the czt with 95000km and I didn't have problems yet. Its value for money.You have not worry about if you do the right maintenance.

      Be sure that the center display (if you have one) works perfectly. If not it could be that your can bus lines in the center display get a short curcuit. The center display is directly connected to the power can bus, so if it has a short curcuit your can bus stops working.
      After that you can buy a new one or repair the old one. Another solution is just to pull the plug. Then you will not have a functional center display but your can bus is still running.

    My CZT produces the very same noise but only when when the clutch pedal is released in neutral. It drove me nuts, I am about sending the transmission for a complete restoration. So, is that the solution?

      Péter Nagy-Miklós the main sound is from the bearing of the clutch.If you replace the clutch and the bearing,this sound will be reduced 100%.In this video the sound do not reduce 100% but a part of this sound.

      Thanks for the reply! I am just glad to hear that the sound is not a sign of some incoming major failure. The clutch parts will be replaced during the next service round somewhere late summer then, until that this trick will do nicely. Also thanks for making the CZT videos, I really appreciate these tricks & tips.

      @@WackorMikiso what happened

    • @WackorMiki
      @WackorMiki ปีที่แล้ว

      @@magnumllama400 The CZT is still running fine, still my daily drive. After a couple of checks and maintenance, the transmission is still noisy sometimes, especially when it is cold, but it works absolutely fine. I love this car.
      A somewhat unsuspected failure happened, though. Simultaneously, both rear wheel bearings started to heat up and wear out like crazy last summer, all of a sudden. They were just a couple of years old. I think the extreme hot summer had a part in it.

    What kind of grease did you use? How long does the effect last?

    • @fq8311
      @fq8311  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      I use the L2 multi-purpose grease from bp.it last for 2 or 3 months.I do this 2 times per year

      FQ I thought that's the common problem is the release bearing sound, did this resolve that issue. Thanks

      @fq8311  7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      adam khan not at all.The main sound is from the bearing.this reduce a little the sound and the level gear becomes softer.Also the reverse engages better

    My Colt's clutch pedal makes a squeaking noise when pressed, I'm pretty sure it's the clutch master cylinder. I tried lubing it with grease and spray, but still makes the noise. Other cars that have the same problem can easily be fixed, but not the colt, very annoying.

    • @fq8311
      @fq8311  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      2driftlong yes that's true it is annoying the main sound is from the bearing of the clutch.Some owners who changed the clutch and the bearing this sound disappear.In my czt this sound reduce but after 1 week it's the same, I don't replace the clutch yet

      I have the same problem with my Colt (no czt), but I only hear that squeaking noise in the cold months. (oktober-march), when the temperature rises the noise is gone. Cluth is working oke, so I leave it that way. (sorry for my english)

      Hey there,
      I'm working at a mitsubishi garage and the squeaking noise of your clutch pedal is not directly from the master cylinder.
      Try to lube the bearings of your clutch pedal. It should look like a big silver bolt.
      After that push the pedal some time and the squeaking sound will disappear.
      Hope this help you guys.
