I love these wardrobe audits. It is sooo interesting to see how things evolve and why. I love that I used your ebook and have a wardrobe I feel good about. I am still working toward feeling fantastic about it, but good is a huge step forward from where I was at before. This late winter early spring, I am sewing, actually, some bras, from a 1940s brassiere pattern and it has no underwire and I am making it all from scraps! And I am a cupsize G, and find it supports me better than my off the rack bras! BUT, what all this is leading up to, is that... when one sews, it feels... suddenly freeing, and one wants to make ALL the things, so watching this video is a step back into calm and order and really thinking about fit and my own personal look, and that I still want a curated capsule wardrobe, just a handmade one, for the most part. So, very thoughtful! (& I too had to withdraw a bit from the world, from the internet this winter, so much sadness happened, but I am thru it now and ...well, we do have to take time for ourselves, don't we? And I am catching up on your lovely videos... sitting in my little sewing corner, and it is VERY cozy! So, thank you for your company! L.
@@katiethomas5889 Very nice! I ended up making a few adjustments, but I really liked it. I have not made any in a while though, but the pattern was by Vera Venus if you are interested. The cups attach directly to each other between the breasts, and the shape is pointier than a modern bra. But I do not mind that myself.
@@katiethomas5889 I did make some changes to the back pieces of the bra. I widened them, as they are drawn to dip down, and so I basically made them wider to the point I attached the straps and then I angled it down to attach to the covered elastic band with the hooks and eyes. I really like a lot of features about this pattern, very good directions, very clear and for me, it was easy to adjust, and I could make them out of breathable fabrics.
I have just started watching your vlogs and live with the same design as you do. I so enjoy your design and minimalist suggestions. Your home is so beautiful the way it is designed and Tommy matches perfectly.
Hello from Connecticut, USA! Thank you for these videos. I wish I lived in a home like yours! I just love your cottage and your lifestyle. This wardrobe capsule is an ultimate goal of mine! You are truly inspiring ♻️🏡🌍
Thanks Jessica I am heading straight upstairs to review and cleanse my wardrobe and I couldn't be more excited. I always enjoy your videos they motivate me.
I nearly commented today if you would be doing a winter audit,so happy to see it a few hours later!!! Loved seeing how you incorporated new pieces, I too prefer dresses and skirts! Lovely choices. Could you do a video with a look book how you combines your pieces together? Would love to see that! Spent way too much money this month but I am so going to buy one of your ebooks next month! X
Moon & stars dress is wonderful on you!!!! Love the shape of sleeves. I like how you only really go for the pieces you immediatelly feel great in, I need to keep that on mind for myself too. And yes, your vlogs are soooo relaxing and positive energy boosting ❤
Gahh was so excited when I saw this pop, I love you audit videos, the star dress I love it, enjoyed seeing you try on pieces and your thought process 😃😃💜💜
Absolutely loved your new additions. A perfect video for a mid-day break. Love your wardrobe audit videos so much! Hope you have an absolutely lovely Christmas and New Year's.
Such a nice selection of clothing!! And love that you kept only what immediately sparked joy and went after your first impression/intuition! My current capsule is really getting larger due to my knitting addiction 🤩🧶 I just love picking yarns and colors and patterns and knitting up my own sweaters and even a dress! I’ve been planning on purchasing a skirt or dress to go with all my jumpers - maybe a linen one .. sending you love and hope you have very nice Christmas days 🎄✨💖
Love the dresses but it hits me: I love all the dress I have when I bought them but it is a little bit sad that sometimes we don’t wear it as much as we think. I know my style but my life change (with two kids) now I sew all my clothes and it takes me time to create a piece and also I am much thinking of what I will wear which fabric and I can adjust to my body! I encourage everyone to try it to learn what it cost to create a cloth after that we think twice before buying fast fashion because you know
Hi Jess! I’m so happy to see your wardrobe videos back ☺️. You’ve such an amazing and elegant style, it’s a really big inspiration for me :) the printed skirt looks amazing on you, great choice!
I have always wanted to build a more minimalist wardrobe, it has always been a bit difficult because I find many pieces I like and they don't always go together. But I really want to go through my closet, and organize better, I think if I do this, I will actually be more organized to get dressed better and more often.
totally agree! it can be really useful to build up a personal style mood board on Pinterest before you dive into your wardrobe so you have a style guide to help you decide what to keep and what to let go of. Cheering you on!
So lovely to watch. I took a month break from youtube, and yours was the first channel I was eager to catch up on! Enjoyed this-- now I'm feeling inspired to carry on with my desire to dress more romantically. Happy New Year, Jessica! xxx
I read 'cheetah skirt' in the comments before I watched and I felt I had landed in an alternative reality, haha! But it made a lot more sense when I actually saw the skirt, it's lovely!
Big thanks for all your lovely calming and inspiring videos during this strangest of years. Merry Christmas and here's hoping 2021 will bring brighter times x PS: I think you should definitely keep the Theory slip dress too as it really suits you and will be perfect for summer 🌞
In my minimalist wardrobe, I have a clay colored slip dress just like your theory one 😆 sorry to hear you won’t be keeping it, they are so so versatile!
How do you wash your dresses that seem more delicate? I love to wear dresses, but if I have to dry clean it I won’t wear it nearly as much! Love your channel :)
Really loving your content! 👏👏👏 On another note do you know the website called good on you? They rate brands according their sustainability policies and olive is not really good at! I was going to buy from them but then I saw and researched bit 🤔 ended up not buying anything at all! Anyway the skirt is lovely 😊
Weird question, but I saw that you have some Birkenstock sandals. I wondered if you find them comfortable for long walks? Like for travel? I really enjoy your videos. Very calming. And I'm in love with your home.
Would love your input or any commenters input. I prefer wearing dresses and skirts but for life only at home right now, I'm flummoxed. Do you do the full tights / boots for just at home? For health reasons, I'm basically just at home. Have you figured out a compromise? Wearing the full gear I used to wear at the office seems like too much. And it's cold where I live, I do appreciate any input or ideas
hi Heidi! Totally get your struggle. I wear tights and skirts / dresses at home yes but I'm also a huge loungewear lover so I turn to that a lot too. I would say take an experimental approach and try different things, keep track of how each makes you feel while you're at home for now and repeat what you're most comfortable in. There's no right or wrong with clothes, just what makes you feel your best xx
@Heidi Karpa if it is cold where you live, I would recommend investing in a pair of merino leggings and a long sleeve merino top. They keep you warm and last for years. They don’t get smelly so you can wear them for days before washing.
The moon/stars dress is lovely so I looked it up. It’s $300 Australian dollars. Now that I am working from home permanently I rarely wear dresses so it doesn’t make sense for me to spend that much. It looked lovely on you though xo
That stars dress is utterly gorgeous! Was it expensive? Sorry just seen the links. The dress looks nothing like it does on you. I wouldn't have thought it was nice based on the online photo. I'm also getting into delicate patterns and I don't usually go for patterns.
I don't see them as summer clothes as I can wear the skit and dress with tights and a coat. Likewise I could wear them without in warmer weather. Anything versatile like that is a big thumbs up for me x
I hope you don’t mind me asking this. I have all your ebooks already and would dearly love to upgrade to the new versions. They look so beautiful. I am wondering if there is maybe a discounted price if I have them already? My resources are spread a bit thin currently with my son having to move back home with me but am trying to convince myself I can treat myself to one perhaps.
You definitely made the right choice on the stars dress and cheetah skirt both exquisite pieces. When you know you know 🥰
You know Kerry 😉😘
Ahh!! Couldnt click fast enough 😍 I love your wardrobe audit videos! ❤️ And the skirt and dress you decided to keep were so lovely on you!
Hooray! That’s put a huge smile on my face Amanda, thank you 🙏🏻

How did they turn out? I am a C cup but have a very wide back. I prefer no underwire also!

Wow 🤩 I need to declutter my wardrobe again! I have too much as I don’t wear half of it! Thank you 🙏
Love your video’s and podcast too! I’ve been binge listening them, such eyeopeners and really great help too. So thank you and happy Christmas xx

You can dye the white top if the stain is the only issue.
Eeeeek! So excited to watch! Love your capsule wardrobe videos. I have just started Project 333 as a starting point 😊 x
Amazing! Let me know how you go x

Hi, I really enjoy watching your videos, I find them so relaxing and thought provoking.

You’re an inspiration, thank you! 💛

The slip dress fit to perfection.
I love that dress you chose 😍
If it’s just one cotton top don’t bother trying to find a fabric recycling center; cut it up for cleaning rags.
Fab idea! Thank you 🙏🏻
@@JessicaRoseWilliams Or rag curl rags? I guess you don't need to do that the way I do though.....
Lovely as always ❣️
Thank you 🙏🏻

Love the ghost dress 😍

Do you mind sharing the brand of the two dresses (blush & beige at the front of your rail) and the tank dress in cream/beige mini-check?
Love your wardrobe audits ❤️ Do you have a Depop or anywhere you usually sell your clothes afterwards?
I always sell on Instagram stories x

1 & 2 dresses look like nighties.
I know it's important to you to choose what you like and not be influenced by others, but I wouldn't be surprised if Jason likes number one :)
Where are your husbands clothes? Lol
