Love your progress! Your family has been a blessing to witness as they grow. Young people as they change and quickly get older are the gift to us who are a little older. It’s so easy to forget that they are who we were at one time. There is so much wisdom to be found in youth, that maybe gets overlooked as we age.
I discovered shade cloth a few years ago. I now have it over my pool and it CHANGED EVERYTHING!!!! I can be in the pool all day and sunburn does not even enter my mind. And everything, including my pool water, is now so much cooler!!! Pay attention to the rating. All shade cloth has ratings as far as how much of the sun's UV rays it blocks. The difference between 80% and 90% is HUGE!!!
It's so cool to watch your property overnight. I see deer, raccoon, owls, armadillo 😤, bobcat... Your sweet kittens are your future property managers 🤣🤣 You should install cameras at every corner of your property. It would make for amazing future videos. Ashley, have you put out a cookbook? I love when there is a storm at the homestead because you’re getting much needed water for your plants trees and garden. And it’s also very cooling to be outside in the rain!! I just love it♥️💧💦💧
Shade sails!! Sooo cool❤️❤️❤️ I imagine that when hanging clothes to dry, that by the time you finish, the first up are already dry🙌🙌🙌The kittens are just too adorable💚💚💚 Love hanging with you all💜💜💜💜
Just wanted to give you some words of encouragement. You guys are an awesome couple. I can't wait to see your Earth bag Round house completed. Thank you for sharing your experiences and knowledge with us all! I know there have been a lot of hard, difficult times, but you persevered, giving others hope in their experiences. You are an inspiration, funny a lot, and very relatable. Thank you for being a blessing to all of us. 😊❤😊
Now, the question is: did the goats sign a surveillance permission form, or do you have a court order to allow for the collection of evidence? 🤣 Another great video!
To see the sand storm was humbling. I’m sure they can be larger but something you don’t think about at first when living on a mesa in the high desert. It does have its exquisite beauty though. Loved the spring rains bloom vlog - so beautiful. You might think about a future geodesic dome gardening area in the future. Like you dont already have a treasure chest full of To Do lists for the homestead😂. Love hugs and farmily!!
If the shade sails don’t provide enough protection from the sun, try Roman shades. My grandmother hung them in our south and west-facing sleeping porch, and they kept the porch from heating up in the daytime. They also kept the bugs out. I loved sleeping on that porch in the summer! It was much cooler than the house, which was poorly insulated and had no air conditioning.
You continue to amaze me how much you do in a short time...your continued energy levels are phenomenal! Always VERY impressive! Carry on beautiful family! Much thanks and love
Please please PLEASE send the monsoons up my way? They keep fizzling out before they get to us! 😫🤦🏼♀️😂 At least the winds are a good test for your shade sails, I hope they hold up! And yay for more house building!! Love you all! 😊❤️

Yum Yin! You need to do laundry, security camera installs, and shade sails! Cool, reolink sent two cameras for the goat barn! So one for the kidding stalls and an outside camera. Kittens are so cute! I'm glad all the connecting to the hub. network, and the cameras seemed to go well. I like the curtains over the sink in the goat barn! Wow, Adali even takes care of the neighbor's horses on Tuesday and Thursday mornings! Ashley, that food looks sooooo good! Jonathan and Jett both looked very happy with that meal! That would be great if the shade sails could cut down on the evening sun! I love the gate opener! I like it! Those overlap nicely! Whoa, haboob! You can't see the mountains! I loved this video guys! As always, so inspiring and entertaining to watch what you do on your desert homestead Longnecker family!
It’s great setting up the cameras in and outside the goat barn, and Wow those kittens are just adorable .i like those cloth sails,I should imagine if the sun is out it will keep the Airstream a lot cooler. Its typical when you do put things up like that ,the weather changes. We had a few days of Summer ,well can’t remember when, but it seems to have been about all the U.K. has actually had, temperatures have dropped at night too,and a lot of days we were lucky to get 21 degrees Celsius ..you over in America seem to be getting all the heat,it’s been bad too for you as well.I hope the storms and the rest of the weather never came your way..Love to you all 🥰

Not sure of the expense but the cloth shouldn’t be much and you can build the bar and crank yourself. Good luck.
End of day Arizona sun is RELENTLESS! The sun shades should help :-) It looks like the shade cloth is helping your vegetable planters, too! I was surprised you were hit with a haboob. I don't get them here in Sierra Vista. Love to see your progess!
