I live in Ireland and Scifier is so good! you asked on your insta for book recs and you picked my rec for yellowface! i was very excited as it's one of my favourite books of the year. i definitely agree that the main character is insufferable and not going into spoiler territory but let's say i was satisfied near the end ;) i also loved book lovers, emily henry is pretty hit or miss for me so that novel was a lovely surprise!
right? i didn't like people we meet on vacation at all but book lovers and beach read were great imo, i'm glad i gave her books another chance ...and i have finished yellowface as of now and i ended up thinking it was okay TT the mc was too annoying and i found some of the commentary a bit juvenile but i don't regret reading it!

i didn't rely on it too much but it was so convenient for foreign language volumes TT and i agree! convenience store woman is a great little story
words cannot describe my love for children of the whales... its my favorite series oat and its almost about to finish in english! its amazing if you like fantasy with a big focus on characters and relationships, and its had a grasp on me since 2020. i can't recommend it enough
this makes me excited to get into it! like i said i just picked it up bc ... it was cheap and the art is pretty, i don't know anything about the story lol

The my happy marriage anime covers the first two volumes of the novels. It was such a good and emotional adaption, really had me rooting hard for miyo. Although season two was announced i am interested in checking out the manga.

Long time viewer here and I love your manga hauls! But I’m surprised I saw Convenience Store woman, my opinion is that it’s really good! The main character is neurodivergent coded (in my opinion) and it was very interesting to see her perspective navigating the world.
@@amandak.4246 she does not have an illness, I believe her to be on the spectrum. Or neurodivergent, neuroatypical.

ive finished your highness seems angry and tbh was so disappointed after volume 3, felt like they were trying to do too much with so little time so it didnt feel rlly fleshed out or well executed :( it had so much potential too

I felt the same about Ooku, the old English ruined it for me, barely made it through the first volume, which is a shame because the series sounded so good.. I felt like I was back in my high school reading Shakespeare. I've been thinking about watching the anime but not sure if they kept the old English in that or not. Loved your haul, so many manga!

thank you! and glad to see i'm not the only one TT i think i made it through 3 volumes, but reading manga shouldn't feel like a chore imo so i ended up dropping it which is a shame since so many people love the series, i will probably check out the anime though! i loved the concept of the story
